We're sorry to report there won't be a VC video tonight

Looking back, the last time I missed a VC Monday Madness video was the 15th of October in 2007. In fact, I believe I was gone for the entire day then, as JC had to cover the VC beat in my stead. It's not something I like to normally do and I might as well be totally honest here: it's one of, if not the, most fun parts of my job. Most of the time for us is spent staring at text across a bland white background. It's just how it is.

So, I apologize for breaking my months-long streak of providing you with these videos. To tide you over, there are some videos of gameplay from each game provided by persons who aren't me past the break. Hopefully you'll find it in your heart to forgive me for not being able to provide the video this week (my Wii can't seem to access my network for some reason). It's extra bad because this week actually had some games I wanted to play. Oh well ...

No biggie, I usually view the videos as an extra sparkle that I get each week. These videos will suffice.

Now, for my weekly question: when will I get Super Mario RPG!? ;)

may want to use a different measurement, actually, ive seen a pretty steady decline in the temperature in Hell based on recent events (on the internets and local to me), and its not expected to go back to higher levels

Oh well, at least you gave us a picture of a cute puppy. :-) I mostly use the VC wrapups to decide whether to download a game, and this one (Phantasy Star) is kind of a no-brainer for me anyway. No worries!

what kind of problem are you having with your Wii?

i had a really annoying one a few days ago, it would alternate error codes between their being a duplicate IP on my network and it just plain not being able to connect. ended up having to assign a static IP to my Wii to get it to connect.

To be honest, I would rather have just gameplay videos with your comments wrote down underneath them. I really can't stand game review where someone talks about the game while playing it. However I usually only watch the game review videos when something I've really wanted to be released is available and I would like to see other users' comments on the game.

Plus is Earthbound ever going to be stated for release?

You know.. it's okay that we have to miss the VC monday madness video, but you could have at least put the title of the games above each video, for those who missed the release list posted earlier. Instead of forcing us to navigate back to a different page to find the post and come back, or just guess "hmm.. which of the completely identical ninja gaiden openings is this? There's a ninja, strange animu person walking around and ridiculous plotlines.. still no clues" also that "sega smash pack" intro on the phantasy star video is misleading.
