Hori Charge Stand is style over substance, just our thing
We're struggling to justify to ourselves the idea of purchasing one of Hori's new Charge Stands. After all, a standard wired power adapter -- like the one you get totally free with your DS -- does the same job. The only obvious advantage to owning one of these is that your DS can be displayed at a jaunty, kind of cool angle.
We suppose this is a case of form over function, though we're not ashamed to still want one -- the DS is an attractive piece of kit, so why shouldn't we show it off? For just under $17, you can be as superficial as we are, though you will have to wait until April. Oh, and they only come in black or white, meaning any new cobalt blue DS owners might have to go without.
[Thanks, Chris!]

Meh. To each his own, but I don't think I'd spend money on this. If they gave it to me for free I might use it.

Actually, this is something that I'd want because my cable is in an awkward place on my desk.
On the other hand, I can't play my DS whilst it's on that stand, so I think I'll pass.

"meaning any new cobalt blue DS owners might have to go without."
Why? The back of the new DS is black, therefore it color-coordinates. Fail.

I've got a wife and three kids, and every one of us owns a DS. We've got one of those CD/DVD racks to hold all of our games, and I was thinking about adding some sort of shelf where all of the chargers could sit. The (admittedly minor) problem with the standard charger is that if you have five of them, the cables get tangled. Some sort of charging station would be great, especially if it (a) could be combined with others to form a multi-bay system, and (b) was affordable.
