Cord-Free Wireless Adapter lets you trade your cord for a huge lump

Those of you complaining that the Nunchuk was too small and light should be pleased, as should those who are furious at the corded Nunchuk but don't have the extra $20 to drop for the fully wireless model. Perhaps you just wanted a free-standing Nunchuk to set next to your charging Wiimotes.
Okay, we're making fun, but the truth is that even if the adapter is conspicuous, it seems to be out of the way, and a viable solution for making your Nunchuk wireless, as long as it doesn't add too much weight.

I don't like that cord wrap thing so much, but a bulkier 'chuck is actually a good thing for me. I don't think my hands are exceptionally large or anything, but the nunchuck is uncomfortably small to me. I don't mind it at all in short bursts, but after 30 min or so my left hand starts to hurt.

Not liking it, would like to have no cord on nunchuck.
Lars @ Jan 29th 2008 4:48PM
That would certainly be a more elegant solution. There was one that came out or is coming out which has no chord and I think it's $20.
If this thing was like $5 I'd buy it, since I already have 4 'chucks.

They killed my dream of a wireless nunchuck...that I would actually use
killermonkey915 @ Jan 29th 2008 4:30PM
how are people going to use a wii strap on the mote or nunchuck? also any body know when its in stores?
akatsuki @ Jan 29th 2008 4:36PM
Wouldn't it just be better to come out with a wireless set of controllers?
killermonkey915 @ Jan 29th 2008 4:40PM
sorry about a stupid question like this but how do you create a password?
Chris @ Jan 29th 2008 5:00PM
From below: "When you enter your name and email address, you'll be sent a link to confirm your comment, and a password. To leave another comment, just use that password."
Reaver @ Jan 30th 2008 9:03AM
Once you get your password, clicking on the link via your username will take you to your profile page. From there, you can reset the password to something of your choosing.

i think this is going to be the near end of sales for nintendo's own nunchuks, there are offering pure wireless nunchuks , this is just an alternative if you don't want to buy another nunchuk, personally i think the wireless ones will start to sale due to the simple fact of needing to tuck the original nunchuks cord in..Nintendo needs to hurry up and catch up on the Wii's demand so they can get that wireless nunchuk they've been working on (pure speculation on my part) to the market...
Adv2k1 @ Jan 29th 2008 5:07PM
this fucken sucks
TVGenius @ Jan 29th 2008 5:23PM
Not gonna work for people like me with bag hands. My pinky rests against the strain-relieving part of the cord as it is. Or at least really uncomfortable.
DeadPlasmaCell @ Jan 29th 2008 5:26PM
Hmm that kinda sucks.. I'm all about the Wii-mote part, but I thought earlier mock-ups showed a different nunchuk that went along with it that was cordless.
JC Fletcher @ Jan 29th 2008 5:39PM
There is a separate wireless nunchuk coming out. This is another thing.
Nate @ Jan 29th 2008 5:32PM
I don't want a wireless nunchuk... Just another thing to suck batteries. What game is it really necessary for?
Roto13 @ Jan 29th 2008 9:42PM
Exactly. There's no point. The cord is long enough and it doesn't get in the way. It's not like it's connected to the Wii or anything.
Perverted @ Jan 29th 2008 10:31PM
The cord bothers me =/ i want wireless! all those signals destroying my brain :D
I'll opt for the fully wireless version.
elnino2783 @ Jan 30th 2008 12:45PM
Looks like no attachments for safety straps for the those overzealous kiddies. We've already seen one video with a poorly designed wiimote add-on.
flo @ Feb 2nd 2008 8:59PM
I happen 2 like it. I think it's attractive and we have a nunchuck stand! It's also cheaper n it's the first party nunchuck you already have so you know it's not crappy(or at leats don't doubt that it is)
