Sleepless in Arkanoid DS

For anyone interested in importing this wonderful game, though, there is one tiny caveat. If the paddle controller is inside the GBA slot while the DS is closed shut, the handheld won't go into sleep mode. To clarify that statement, the game itself will sleep, but the peripheral will continue to suck the juice out of your DS (the greedy little thing).
It's okay, sweet paddle, we won't hold it against you. We love you just the way you are -- don't ever change. Let's hug it out and move on.

Very very cool. Besides the battery sucking, of course.

It seems as if some of you guys have imported. So, is it worth it? I was really interested in this when it was announced and was hoping for a western release. However, that doesn't seem as likely at this point. Still, it looks like it has the potential to be very fun. So, is it worth importing?

Other than pulling the controller out, is there any solution to the battery suckage? I was wondering why my DS was losing its charge like crazy.

Plug it in.

I don't think so. Since the paddle uses the GBA slot, and any GBA game with a sleep mode option must be put to sleep manually (i.e., not from closing the DS), I don't think there's a way to stop the controller from draining the battery.

Speaking of which...
Does anyone know if the paddle controller works with Break'Em All? Or is it just for Arkanoid (and maybe their new retro Space Invaders remake)?

Is this game coming to the U.S.?
