VC Monday Madness video wrap-up 1/21/08

This week will likely look like another lackluster one, for a lot of you. With only two games available, one of which is already on the Virtual Console in other forms, the other being a sequel, we can understand your lack of enthusiasm. So, either you can be vindicated in your assumption that there isn't anything here this week for you, or you can be shocked that the games you thought weren't any good turned out to be at least decent.

Or, you can just be a nihilist.

Super Street Fighter II (Super NES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

There are plenty of Street Fighter games on the Virtual Console now, but that doesn't mean that we're going to let logic get in the way of our feature here. See, we love Street Fighter. We love the game so much that we feel compelled to own it in every version we can possibly get our hands on. So, we suggest you give it a download, but we already know some of you just won't.

Adventures of Lolo 2 (NES, 1 player, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

This game makes me feel like kind of a hypocrite. See, the first game didn't get favorable marks from me, but the second game receives a "thumbs up" for download. Why? Well, it's more challenging than the first game, which makes the experience a bit more challenging and feels less monotonous than the first title. The challenge means reward, for myself, because there is no better feeling than tackling a tough obstacle to the ground and making it your bitch. At least, that's just what I think.

That concludes our look at this week's Virtual Console games. As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
