VC Monday Madness video wrap-up 1/14/08

This week's releases on the Virtual Console bring us two very distinct titles. If you like to beat your opponent silly with one hand and solve mind-teasers with the other, then the pair of offerings on tap this week are sure to satisfy your thirst. Hit up the video above and be sure to head past the break for more coverage.

Riot Zone (1 player, TurboGrafx16, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

It may be a Final Fight clone, but Riot Zone is has enough carbon-copy baddies and promiscuous women to pummel on to keep us wanting more. It has enough action to keep us mashing the buttons. If we would complain about one thing, it would be the lack of combat maneuvers. There is only so many jump kicks we can do before we crave a new way to trash the enemy. Overall, though, the game is pretty fun.

Pac-Attack (1 - 2 players, SNES, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

It isn't the most solid of puzzle titles, but the varying difficulties and spin on the Pac-Man game make this one refreshing. We're puzzle junkies, after all. So as long as we can clear lines and rearrange blocks that drop in a progressively faster and faster fashion, we're good. If that sounds like you, then give this a play.

That concludes our look at this week's Virtual Console games. As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
