There's a triforce in the center of the emblem
eBay seller and DS decorator viper640_0 is back, this time with an Onyx Lite worked over with a Zelda motif. We're digging the color scheme and the general approach, but the triforce seems like a bit much. Disagree? Well, the whole spiffy package can be yours for a mere $200, and it comes straight from POWER SELLER VILLAGE. That's how you know it's quality.

Stared at it for awhile before deciding that it's this for $220 with shipping, or wait until the red ones are restocked for $130. Not worth 4 games. =/

I think someone needs to tell this guy that his creations need a bit more work.

The worst part about it is the battery cover. It looks kind of out of place. Black and gold is a bit too gaudy for the DS lite.

Also, will you keep these coming? They help me make it through these dark days.

Oh, like I can resist anything from POWER SELLER VILLAGE.

Oh my god:
"If you would like a name painted on the ds-lite please email with the spelling of the name & the color of the font you want.
1. 1st or last name only if you want both names that will be $10.00 extra."
Yeah, they'll do the last name too but that's how they getcha!

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but is this just someone who spray paints parts of a DS then draws on them with a sharpie?
Alisha Karabinus @ Jan 14th 2008 4:27PM
I dunno. Could be? Some of them certainly look better than others. This one... well.
Saffie @ Jan 14th 2008 5:00PM
That looks like it's done with a Sharpie pen. The emblem looks off on each side and the triforce is not straight.

Do us all a favor and stop posting junk like this.

I'll keep my Triforce Gold DS Lite, the one that wasn't made by someone who has inhaled too many paint fumes.

I recently did a custom paint job on a DS as well (literally finished mine yesterday)... and I thought I did an average job at best... this guy is just plain sloppy.
It looks like he sprayed the entire thing, and then masked off the big crest, and sprayed that right on top without sanding or anything... and almost definitely no clearcoat on top of any of it.
Also, the fact that he couldn't even be bothered to sand down the dual screen logo on the top, or remove the text on the back, is just total laziness. Come on dude.
Basically, he ONLY painted the parts that could come off with a phillips screwdriver. And doesn't own sandpaper. 2 hours work.
I'm going to take pictures of mine and send them to DSFanboy. If they'll post this dudes crap, they'll definitely post mine :P
