The DS Life: Unwrapping
The DS Life is a weekly feature in which we scour the known world for narrative images of Nintendo's handhelds and handheld gamers. If you have a photo and a story to match it with, send both to thedslife at dsfanboy dot com.
Provided they were on Santa's "Nice" list, hundreds of thousands of children (and adults, of course) woke up to find a dual-screened handheld under their tree yesterday. We like to imagine that these new DS owners held the system box high over their heads while The Legend of Zelda's "item fanfare" music played. We also like to picture them running to their computers shortly afterwards to load up and bookmark DSFanboy.com, as well.
Rather than spend too much time dwelling over what their reactions might have been like, why don't we take a look past the break for photos from ten different post-unwrapping scenes?

Can you believe how happy and content this kid is with his new handheld? Wouldn't you be too, especially if you had on some Buzz Lightyear pajamas and a soccer ball headband? As if this wasn't enough, minutes later, Erich and his sister unwrapped the Nintendo Wii their parents bought for them.
Kyle's shirt was blown clean off by the awesomeness of his Crimson and Onyx DS.
Three cheers! Wait, no, two cheers! Somebody help Rachel up!
"NO WAI!!!"
Having this much fun can be dangerous. Make sure you wear a helmet like this kid.
Hey, you! Share your Nintendo DS with that munchkin!
Wonderful.
This half-woman, half-blanket hybrid can't hide her excitement.

The last photo in which you've super-imposed Wolverines head onto is my photo and I am extremely pissed off that you've done this without asking my permission first. That photo is copyrighted and I am writing this to politely ask you to please remove the photo that you've doctored and also the original from this thread. Thank you.

That first picture especially would look great in one of Nintendo's catalogs featuring the DS. You can't beat a true smile...

I would like to thank the "half-woman, half-blanket hybrid" for not wearing a bra on Christmas Morning. Since I did not get my Nintendo DS, you turned my frown into a smile. ;o)

the moral of this story is "don't buy small children DS' because first they don't play GOOD games and they'll probably have seizures when they open the DS box.
