VC Friday: Give the gift of Wonder Boy this Christmas
We've already discussed how much of a holy mess the Wonder Boy series is, and today European and Australian folk will be able to sample a small part of the jumbled franchise, with the release of Monster Lair, as it appeared on the Turbografx-16 (a Sega Mega Drive version appeared a year later, though only in Europe).
Whereas Monster Lair is perhaps the highlight of this last VC update before Christmas, this blogger will admit to having fond recollections of the fighting sequences in NES ice hockey title Blades of Steel, while those of you with an "Extreme!!!" bent may wish to throw 500 Wii points in the direction of Skate or Die!

Yes! That can only mean that Blades of Steel will soon be coming to America. Hallelujah! Been waiting a long time on that one.

I have been saying since the gifting service was announced that I would like to give the gift of Wonder Boy (in Monster World however) and I would love to recieve/buy Monster Lair. Unfortunately, I'm one of the people to stubborn to delete games from my system to make room for more. This has kept me out of the Wii Shop channel and away from the gifting service as well. sad face.

Dear nintendo vc santa (or fat red-suited man equivalent):
For christmas I would like, some stink'n Double Dragon for us here in the states....i dont know how much longer i can hold out on these 500 points i've banked!!!

believe or not but I luv nintendo games more then xbox 360 and or ps3 games, I like old school games better and I hope friday the 13th game and nightmare on elm street comes out for virual console it was old nintendo console it was cool.
