Watch the prologue of Mother 3 ... in English!

We've informed you about the Mother 3 fan translation project before, and now it's time for you to enjoy some of the fruits of Starmen.net's labor. The project is not completed yet, but the team has at the very least finished translating and coding the prologue of the game. You can watch it in the video above (spoilers, obviously), without even having to worry about downloading any unauthorized ROMs or being involved with any yarrrrrring.
The video will also help you further acquaint yourselves with Lucas, who will be showing up as a playable character in one of Nintendo's most anticipated Wii games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
From what we've seen, Mother 3 has a certain charm about it, and we can see how fans would be so dedicated in their efforts to bring the game to English speakers. Now, if only Nintendo had the same dedication.

Wow, this is really good to see on here.
I've played Mother 3 twice through and I can honestly say I think it's one of the best RPGs I've ever played (even in Japanese).
Mother 3 brings back the epic excitement and nostalgia that only games like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, FF3, and Earthbound were able to offer on Super Nintendo.
I am simply baffled by Nintendo's stubbornness and hesitance about bringing the game to English players...It's very sad.

Wow this is cool, me and my friend have been keeping our eye on all news of this project for a while now. Seems like it is being emulated slowly, OR the video playback was slowed down for some reason (far less likely). Either way it's proof that there is hope for all of us Earthbound fans.

We can't have this on the VC because it's a GBA game right? Damn. Maybe, if we all sacrafice a goat nintendo will make a wii ware trilogy compilation with the original graphics or version with new 2.5D graphics or something. I don't know. I just really want to play this game.

GO STARMEN.NET!!! Thanks to all the people working on this project. I have been visiting starmen.net for a long time now and have never seen such a great community of fans. It is such a shame Nintendo wont just translate this game. Even if they take a loss on it why not do it just to please the hardcore fans? Cmon nintendo you disappoint me!

Geese, I haven't played this one yet, but I'm dying to. I'm waiting for the translation to come out so I don't have to translate the whole time. It makes me sad to know there is another Mother game and I'm not playing it right now.
