Nintendo has no plans for a Kirby game on the Wii

At least, that's the statement that the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine is giving. When questioned about a possible upcoming Kirby game in the "Ask Nintendo" section of the latest issue, the magazine responded, "There are no plans right now for a Kirby game on Wii but there are plenty of Kirby fans out there, so in the meantime look out for Kirby in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl which will be released in 2008."Well, it doesn't look good, Kirby fans. Hopefully Brawl will be enough to ease some of your cravings for the little pink puffball, but we all know it ain't nothing like the real thing, baby.

All they are saying is there aren't any plans "right now". And "in the meantime" look out for Super Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008.

I bet they're thinking "Hey, you can still buy the GameCube's Kirby games and play them on your Wii! That's enough for your hardcore gamers out there...Right?!"

Air Ride is a surprisingly fun multiplayer game. But, I wouldn't expect anything less from the company that created Super Smash Bros.

Well we whipped out air ride a few days go for game night and it wasn't pretty.
My friend who wasn't even playing, won.

awhile back i was thinking to myself that they should make a kirby air ride for the wii and have online in it and include more stages, vehicles, and maybe a few more characters. that would rock so much. i loved kirby air ride for the gamecube, but never had enough people to really enjoy it

It's multiplayer and achievements system really worked out neatly

City Trial mode truly is amazing. It's the only mode I actually play now but it is awesome.

I've got more care for a pimple on my backside for a Kirby Wii game for my personal needs - but I admit, looking at it from a Kirby fan perspective, that statement sucks!
At least they haven't said something to the effect of "There's never going to be a Kirby game on Wii", right?

I distinctly remember a four player co-op Kirby game announced late in the GCN's life that then got switched to be a Wii game. Or did I dream that?

Yeah, I'll wait for someone other than them to confirm these news.
It reads as if there was never a plan for Wii Kirby, which is false, since the game showed up for 2008 in Nintendo's latest financial report.

I always assumed that the Kirby game was just getting ported to the Wii like all the other late generation GCN games like zelda, DK, and paper mario. Sucks, i have been waiting for another console kirby since kirby 64 oh so long ago.

nintendo is not currently working on a new slimmer, brighter version of the DS, in the meantime why not pick up a gameboy micro?
this is hysteria over nothing, they didnt even say outright theres no kirby, just there isnt one currently being made.
