If Project H.A.M.M.E.R. still existed, this would be a preview of it
NeoGAFfer Shiggy has posted some more screenshots from the vaporous apparition that once had the name Project H.A.M.M.E.R., this time focusing on the in-game perspective. It's strange how disparate the action scenes look from the shots of architecture we were given: those screens were crisp, stylized, and made use of heavy, thick shadows, while the "real game" is, well, blurry. But next-gen blurry! It's like they were making two different games. Or, we suppose, it's like they put two different games on "indefinite hold".As of now, it is still "indefinite hold" rather than "dead forever," so you can take these screenshots as a preview of a potential future game. At the very least, some guy is poking through the game getting some screenshots.

This was a game that at one point I had hopes for. I still want a reason as to why they gave this game the boot. I am still hoping that maybe someone else picks up the project but I doubt that will ever happen. Also why are we getting screens of a game that has been dead for a couple of months now?

I was also looking forward to this game, so I am a little disappointed that they have put it on the back-burner indefinitely.
But as long as Disaster: Day of Crisis is still in development I will be fine.
ExciteTruck, Disaster: Day of Crisis, and Project H.A.M.M.E.R. were the three new Wii franchises revealed at that glorious E3. I absolutely love ExciteTruck and Disaster looks great. I would really love to see Nintendo create some more new franchises like these as they are different, yet have the potential to be really great.

NST, Nintendo's other US studio apart from Retro, was put on other projects. It's just that was there really a game to be had?
