Kotomi's NEStation is perfect for indecisive gamers
So let's say that you're a Nintendo fan to the end, but you just really like the look of the Playstation 2. We're gonna guess that you're not alone, since French modder extraordinaire Kotomi fused the functionality of the first with the look of the latter. The original NEStation was shown in February of 2006, but Kotomi's been going through his collection of late, so we thought we might show this one off. Even if you've seen it before, it's worth a moment of ogling time.

Has anyone ever used/bought one of those 10 third party "NES" machines that appearantly play NES carts?? Do they work at all?
Jeff @ Dec 6th 2007 5:25PM
Yes they do, the NES has been compiled into single chip solutions so they can make them really small too. They work well...as good as the real thing.

The NES-on-a-chip systems...work okay. Not perfect, but okay.
Some games are glitchy, or completely unplayable on these Famiclones.
Overall, sounds may seem a bit off-key and graphics a bit fuzzier than on the original, but still playable.

I think this is really cool. To me PS2 was the only system that had as much great games as a Nintendo system...well that and dreamcast.
