A cheap and colorful way to make your own Zapper
If you're anything like us, you have a collection of Lego firearms that're much too finely-crafted to take apart and throw back into their plastic pail homes -- detailed handguns, elaborate sniper rifles, and delicately heavy bazookas, all constructed out of multicolored blocks. Not everyone is as appreciative of these brick-built blasters as we are, so we've kept them hidden from the view of friends, significant others, and future offspring hellbent on breaking all of our cool stuff. Suffice it to say, our Lego guns have been a private pleasure.
NeoGAF forumer Mrklaw has finally given us a reason to bring out those toy cannons from their hiding places under the bed and in the guest bedroom closet, though, with his DIY Zapper. He fashioned the shell after one of Brando's pistols, leaving an opening in the back for the nunchuck to attach and using a "sliding bit of Technic Lego which pulls against the B button" as a trigger. We're planning to adapt one of our own bulky Lego shotguns to house a Wii remote later tonight; it's gonna be off the chain.

that thing is a piece of shit it probally falls apart, it loses signals from the wiimote and its probally uncomfortable why not buy the real wii zapper for 20 bucks and it comes with a game and it actually holds the nunchuck. i personaly think that a lego wii zaper is a waste of time and game play

I wish I was that good with Lego... mine never turn out right...
However, my creations are masterpieces if you pretend I was making a Tetris block.

In that case, SoshiKitai, be careful how you put the pieces together. Otherwise, your entire creation might disappear. ;)

That thing is cool but it can't be comfortable.

Hmmm...interesting idea.
Perhaps I will try it out when I get home for winter break (sadly I have no LEGO's at college - oh how much better it would be, though, if I did! :P)

i want to try to make one out of knex, its just too hard to do one that pushes the b trigger, not having to actually touch it

Lol, it might look nicer in one solid color, perhaps with another color as an accent. Bonus points for creativity! :)

If you have the legos already, but buying new legos would prolly cost way more than buying a Wii Zapper.
Legos are way over priced.

yeah, when somone finds a way to attach the nunchuk, then i would appreciate a schematic. then we could all have one, and driv the price of the real one down furthere for those who want the real one.
