Wonder Boy on the VC makes us wonder what's going on
If you're a fan of the Wonder Boy series like ourselves, but want to make sure you buy the right game on the Virtual Console (and not two copies of the same game, which is possible), Chris Kohler over at Game|Life fortunately sheds some light on the situation. Hudson seems to enjoy messing with us, so if you're interested in purchasing one of these games, then it's worth checking out Kohler's little guide. Also, we're still waiting for the day that the VC supports the Sega Master System. Hear that, Nintendo? And make it snappy.

It is surprising the Master System is not part of the VC by now.

Personally, I want to see Game Boy games, like original Game Boy and Game Boy Color, available on Virtual Console. Metroid 2, Kid Icarus 2, Super Mario Land 1/2/3, Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Zelda Oracle of Season/Ages... some of the connectivity for those last ones would have to be redone, I admit, but look what they're doing for Pokemon Snap... it could work, though I can't think of a good price for the games... maybe 500 for Game Boy and 800 for Game Boy Color? Depending on the game, I'd definitely pay that.

Sorry for posting twice, but... is this game really that great? I've passed over it multiple times, even looking at screens and such... it looks like a cheap game I shouldn't bother considering, but NWFB is hyping it so much... lately I don't agree with this site's opinion, unfortunately, so can anyone else vouch for me that any of these games are worth my points, and if so, which one released (or to be released soon) is best?

Count me in on SMS train. I already have Dragon's Curse, as far as Wonder Boy stuff goes (not the best one of the series, but the one I grew up playing). Even though I already have the GBA Phantasy Star Collection, I'd probably pay again to get all four Phantasy Star games (especially since the fourth wasn't on the GBA for some reason). I *love* that series! The Alex Kidd SMS games would be worthwhile, too. Action Fight, Choplifter, Fantasy Zone. I still remember finding out that the SMS and the Genesis used the same controller ports and playing Sonic the Hedgehog on Genesis with a SMS controller. Ah, good times.

It's one of my favorites if that helps.

I'd really like to have SMS on it as well. While I do own a Master System converter for my Genesis, a few of the better games are rather costly for an 8-bit cart and 6 dollars for a download would be preferred. I'd also like to point out to anyone who isn't aware that the Sonic 8-bit games are great. They play so much better with a full resolution than on a GG's tiny screen. Certainly up there in quality with other later 8-bit platform games like Ninja Gaiden and others like Mario 1/2.

It will be a great day when Alex Kidd in Miracle World comes to the VC.

I downloaded Dragon's Curse, but I would spend more money to get the sega version of it. Something about the Graphics and Music to dragons curse just Screams "Rip-off"
