WRUP: Well has run dry edition
Looking over this week's releases, we're not all too excited about any of the offerings. And, looking at the previous week's releases, we've completed just about every other game we wanted to play. But, good thing we have yet to finish Super Mario Galaxy, so we'll have that to play. What about you all? Are you working on anything?Maybe you followed our advice and picked up Zack & Wiki or you're waiting to win our latest Fanswag giveaway so you have something new to play?

I just beat Super Metroid for the first time, thanks to VC.
Great game!!!

I am still playing Galaxy. I am taking my time with this game and it does take time if you actually look for the stars yourself and not use the strategy guide. I am now at 82 stars and and adding daily.
coast19 @ Nov 30th 2007 10:54AM
Working on the last 40 stars on Galaxy, then I have to finish BWII so my plate is full for the next week.

I'm playing Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 right now.
Working my way through the single-player campaign mode, trying to get used to the Wiimote-nunchuk control setup. I don't have a Zapper yet but I'd really like one. I have to say that MOH would be a game that would benefit from playing on a HD set, even if it's only 480p. On my 25" SD set, I'm having a hard time aiming at some of the Nazis hiding behind barrels and such.
The game is pretty good, the AI is somewhat lacking as has been described. I find that on Green level the "Rambo" style of gameplay seems to work best, just run right up to the enemy and unload.
I'm not even going to try online most likely. I play about an hour a day at most. No way I'll stand against these youngsters who have tons of time to practice.

You own MoH:H2 and DON'T plan on going online?? Why for did you purchase this game, good sir?
mian @ Nov 30th 2007 1:13PM
I've been playing MOHH2 for 30 some odd hours, and I didn't even realize it HAD a single player campaign. =)
BrandonIT @ Nov 30th 2007 2:23PM
Mainly I bought it for the Arcade mode as I am a big fan of light-gun shooters and I couldn't find Ghost Squad anywhere local.
The Arcade mode is pretty good BUT it suffers for lack of multi-player (but yes, I did know that going into it). I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
I've never been too good at twitch gameplay since I was in college and played Doom2 for hours at a time. But even then, I only played against my friends, not the best of the internet. I do feel that recent online games (Unreal Tournament going forward) tend to favor a much smaller percentage of the populace as they are the only ones good enough to play.
I do wish more of my close friends, who are about my skill level, had the game and a Wii...

Super Mario... GALAXY!!!!
danny. @ Nov 30th 2007 11:11AM
I still have Zack and Wiki to play but I'm waiting for the girlfriend to get back in town for that one. I haven't even scratched the surface of Mario Galaxy yet. I'm doing the 'my french coach' thing on the train pretty much daily (and whenever I have to use la toilette[sp?]).
Mass Effect has my attention right now.
Croove55 @ Nov 30th 2007 11:13AM
Got Rayman:RR 2. I wouldn't buy it if I could go back in time, but it's definitely worth a rental. If only for the music and shooting stages. You haven't heard "Funky Town" until you've heard it sung by a psychotic, semi-intelligent anthropomorphic rabbit.
Croove55 @ Nov 30th 2007 11:16AM
Also, I fricken need to find a copy of Z&W before I can get it. None of the gamestops I've been to so far have it. I think I'll rent it from Blockbuster first anyway (no, I don't have gamefly).
David Hinkle @ Nov 30th 2007 12:47PM
I suggest Amazon.com. I got mine from them pretty quickly. You can also check out some other sites like deepdiscount.com, etc.

Considering I got everything there is to get in Galaxy and squeezed every ounce of game out of it (thank you fall break!), I don't have a whole lot to play before school starts up again Monday. Then again, I work all day tomorrow, am going out with my fiancee on Sunday, and might be hanging with a friend today, so Link's Crossbow Training will be enough for me. One heck of a $20 game, even if they don't have that much depth in it.
Tesche @ Nov 30th 2007 11:15AM
I recently have aquired quite a few new wii games do to all the sales going on......
I'm focusing most my time (what little there it) on Galaxy right now...only up to like 32 stars....
Playing Fire Emblem.....
Dabbling in MoH:H2
Still enjoying Crossbow Training as well...
Z&W and Power Pros = still shrinkwrapped.....
In non-wii related gaming, Team Frotress 2 still takes us a lot of my time.....
jRado @ Nov 30th 2007 11:51AM
I am going to pick up a few games tonight, including SMG, MP3, MOH:H2, BWII. They will keep my busy through the holidays.
dzounar @ Nov 30th 2007 12:03PM
I'm playing Zack & Wiki yet...
BTW, I was wondering, is there a plan for a Blazing Angels II port? I miss some fligth action games (tired of HeatSeeker, stayed away from Wing Island).
James @ Nov 30th 2007 12:14PM
Please, no more! I'm drowning in games! Off the top of my head, I have to:
Finish -- Zack and Wiki, Mario Galaxy, Ratchet and Clank Future, a few challenges in Portal, playing back through MP3 on Hard, Zelda PH, FFXII (bought it on launch day, played about 50 hours, never finished), Zelda Four Swords GC (impulse buy for cheap at GS, got about half way through during a lull in the release schedule last summer)
Start -- RE4 (still in shrink wrap from Black Friday), HL2 Ep 1 and 2 (from Orange Box), about a dozen DS games
Buy -- Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed (maybe), Eternal Sonata, and probably ten other games I can't remember
At this rate, they could stop shipping games till next summer and I'd still be hard-pressed to keep up. I know a lot of you guys only have a Wii, and I feel for ya, but man I'm just *buried* over here....
RIch @ Nov 30th 2007 9:05PM
I've beat Z-Dub. Awesome game.
I'm stuck on Resident Evil: UC.
I just got the 120th star in SMG last night. Around 10 of the stars were damn tough. I swear I was going to chuck my wiimote into the wall. I only looked at a guide for one of the stars.
Played some MOH:H2 online and will start the campaign soon.
Getting Trauma Center in the mail soon.
Lucy @ Dec 1st 2007 12:25AM
I'm currently engrossed in "The Wait for Replacement AV Cables After Stupidly Leaving them at Home over Thanksgiving." I'll be continuing Super Mario Galaxy after this little gem, though.
Fullmetal Salchemist @ Dec 1st 2007 1:08AM
I'm done with both Zack and Wiki and Mario Galaxy (technically, I'm not completely done, because I only have 91 stars), so I plugged in my PS2 to complete some of the titles I overlooked.
