Nintendo.com gets updated in a big way
Forget your grandma's boring old Nintendo.com. The new Nintendo.com is extreme in a kind of way that can only be measured in Quantum Dew Units. That's right, the new Nintendo.com's most extreme nature can only be compared to cans of Mountain Dew, with a single can representing one QDU. Right now, Nintendo.com is at about 74,821.288888 QDU. In case you were wondering, that's enough Mountain Dew to choke a unicorn to death.
But, in all seriousness, Nintendo.com just looks very ... white now. There's so much white space, we're compelled to bust out a marker and draw little pictures in the margins like we did back in school. But, then again, maybe that's why we didn't graduate. Or may be are brain am broke.
Head on over to the new site and poke around. For those of you looking for the return of the Nsider forums, you're out of luck.

that's great, but where did all of my extra downloads; wallpapers and stuff go?

I love this new site... MUCH better than the old site which was too cramped and buggy.

I live outside US, and the new NOA website didn't allow me to enter their new website. It keeps showing country selection page, weird!

The new site is nice and all...
But when are they going to the old grungy looking 1996 store.nintendo.com site?
Still so blech after all these years!

...now there's no such thing as Nintendo without a Wii-look. :) Don't mind that.

The new look has all the marks of great design. It's not heavy on flash elements like the old design was based on, small menu lists uses your browsers native scroll bar, and they're using whitespace the right way and not in excess.
Great work, Nintendo!

NoE's also working on an overhaul of their site. About time too, since the previous design was in use since before the Gamecube came out(And advertised games like Wario World)
I do hope it means more goodies that we can use Stars on, and I also hope it doesn't mean I'm gonna lose all of my existing Stars somehow.

Did you sign up to NoE's new terms of service? They said you won't be losing your old stars until June 08, and newly added stars will expire a certain number of months when added.
Yea. Starts=Points is happening very soon indeed.

Well the look of the new nintendo.com looks crisp and clean but as number 1 stated: were are all the downloads and the arcade areas. I visited the arcade area on a regular basis. Also the FAQ is not working. All in all the new site may look good but I did find a few bugs that need to be worked out (like game guide doesn't display all games, some get an animated loading symbol and never load).

This site looks much much better. Alot less childish and cluttered.

Its nice to see a picture of people playing Wii while NOT jumping all over their livingroom furniture. Nice step in the right PR direction.
