Dojo update: Wario-Man
Not all of Brawl's Final Smash moves will be spectacular, screen-filling affairs. Take Wario's, for example. When the yellow and purple one scarfs down some garlic, he turns into (trumpet and clarion calls, please) ... Wario-Man! And even when the transformation is complete, you'll still control him as you normally would.
However, by using this particular Smash, you do gain a whole bunch of neat new maneuvers, including a handy sideways-sliding shoulder tackle, and an assortment of midair moves that see the mighty Wario-Man take to the skies. Okay, it's not quite an iceberg that crushes all before it, or the highly destructive flatulence attack we had our fingers crossed for, but we'll still look forward to taking Wario's superhero alter ego out for a spin.

Uh... wow, that's uhm odd, I guess.

The last thing I need to see in Smash Bros. are Wario's mantits flopping around underneath spandex
hvnlysoldr @ Nov 28th 2007 3:08PM
It's because Wario isn't as manly as Captain Falcon I take it?
Croove55 @ Nov 28th 2007 3:25PM
Don't forget the motorcycle. According to the update, Warioman drives the motorcycle too fast for it to be controlled. It also said all of his moves are super-powered, so I wouldn't toss out the idea of a nuclear flatulence attack just yet. I have to admit, I like all of these transforming final smashes. I would have been upset if all of the moves had been like Mario's (though I like those as well). Would have made the game feel too much like Marvel vs. Capcom, what with the ridiculous lasers going off at least once per match.

I don't get it; Is this game released yet? Are all these features updates? Is it more than one game?
Soiden @ Nov 28th 2007 9:45PM
It's only ONE game, that releases on February 10th in the US.
These are updates of the Webpage of the game, not of the game itself :P
Jumbo @ Nov 28th 2007 3:59PM
how long has wario been a nazi?

badboy007ing @ Nov 28th 2007 4:57PM
hey i heard there was some news in the new game informer magazine about super smash bros. could anybody tell me they news in it
Dudeman22 @ Nov 28th 2007 5:46PM
Actually it was just recapping all the important stuff that was shown on the dojo before the magazines was finished. So nothing new.
Justin Hall @ Nov 28th 2007 5:47PM
I don't think I'm ever going to use Wario.
Archibold @ Nov 28th 2007 5:57PM
I actually really like all the variety they are giving the final smashes. They're not all earth shattering, incredibly powerful unbeatable moves. I like Wario's movelist so far, and I think I may use him.
Like Croove55 said, there still may be the nuclear flatulence if that too is supercharged. I hope it is in there.
Finally, I had a good laugh over Jumbo's comment.
Fist Drark @ Nov 28th 2007 9:39PM
I'm definitely loving the amazing amount of variety this game continues to show. Wario/Wario-Man is an excellent addition to the roster in my opinion.
On a side note: Of the remaining announced characters, I believe the only Final Smashes left are those of Sonic, King Dedede and Snake. All of which I'm very much anticipating (even though unofficially, we've seen Sonic become Super Sonic, his abilities are yet to be revealed).
SoshiKitai @ Nov 28th 2007 10:33PM
How about Zero Suit Samus and Zelda?
Fist Drark @ Nov 28th 2007 11:45PM
Oops! Well I forgot about Zelda but I'm not so sure Zero Suit Samus will have a Final Smash... I mean, it would be lovely, but unfair since Samus *becomes* Zero Suit Samus through performing her Final Smash. In fact, maybe I'm wrong but I don't think Zero Suit Samus will even be a 'selectable' character..
In any case, since there are still at least three Final Smashes which need to be announced (as well as numerous Special Moves, I might add), I'm pretty sure updates will continue past the original December 3 release date...
+ Samus is my choice Smash character, so the more the better, but I don't want her to be as excessively advantageous as to have two Final Smashes... unless, say, the Zero Laser turns out to be half as powerful as most other Final Smashes.
Fist Drark @ Nov 28th 2007 11:48PM
Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if a new character were announced on December 3rd.. in fact, I very much hope so.
Slashs @ Nov 28th 2007 11:47PM
Im still waiting for the captin falcon update...And about the nuclear fart wario is now known for*sigh* he has been annouced with a fart move(chargeable) so im only assuming since the wario-man boosts the attack. there we go. super farts for all of you!
RatMasterD21 @ Nov 28th 2007 11:53PM
Zerio Suit samus has a super...she gets her suit back....its on a youtube video from E for all
RatMasterD21 @ Nov 28th 2007 11:55PM
Bye the way does anyone know how i can change my Avatar?
Shadow31 @ Nov 29th 2007 12:12AM
I knew my organized spreadsheet of known facts would come in handy! Yes, still yet to confirm final smashes of Zelda, Snake, King Dedede, and Zero Suit Samus, though Zero Suit Samus, like mentioned by someone else, has been seen through the demo, in which she gets her suit back. And quite clearly Zero Suit Samus needed a final smash, as every character does, otherwise what happens when she gets a final smash?
And, I thought I'd throw it out there... does this final smash wear off after a bit, or is it sorta like Samus's? I mean, I know Wario-Man isn't shown as a seperate character, but... it also never implies that it wears off. I assume it does, just throwing that idea out there.
Last, I'd like to give my own two cents... Wario's final smash sucks. In my humble opinion. I thought Peach's was useless enough, but really... wow, he gets a different moveset. Nothing that really seems like it'd turn the tide of battle.
Oh, and the motorcycle thing theoretically wouldn't work if you use it where there's walls. In fact, you could design some nice levels to work with it. :) Question is, does the motorcycle get powered up enough that you would want to use it?
SoshiKitai @ Nov 29th 2007 3:25AM
"Question is, does the motorcycle get powered up enough that you would want to use it?"
One answer: Kamikaze.
Anyone crazy enough to use Wario, would be crazy enough to do such...
I, myself, think his Final Smash is pretty good. A new moveset and being powered-up is still enough to knock several foes off the ring before your suit wears off (if it does wear off)... and that'd still be worth it.
Considering the fact that most Final Smashes are one-hit wonders, a Final Smash that lasts for quite a while with a comical character chasing you around the screen- would definitely bring up the tension.

can wait for this game
