Wii releases for the week of November 12th

Wow, that's a lot of games releasing this week. And they all look like they're going to be good games, as well. Not to mention that we finally get our hands on Super Mario Galaxy, which we've been been anxiously awaiting. For all of you who lucked out at your local Best Buy, we're glad to say we're finally joining the ranks of those who've been enjoying the game.

This week's releases are:

I was all ready to get SMG today because Nintendo said it comes out on the 12th....TODAY is the 12th.....yet nobody has it today. They all said they'll have it tomorrow!!! WTF?!

Since when did a video game's release date warrant all this confusion?

I was thinking the same also... Why no stores seem to have SMG ??? Has someone find it somewhere ???

Why are so many games coming out this week? I understand it's the holidays but I'd be far more likely to buy Geometry wars, and MOH2 if they weren't in such a packed period. Ah well

I actually went down to the store after reading all month about the November 12 release date, only to have them tell me it releases tomorrow and they point to their boards of release dates, yep there it is November 13. WTF?
However I'm thinking all these stores pushed back the date and didn't tell people. I swear on a stack of bibles, when I pre-ordered last month they told me the 12th.

I have preordered SMG and am ordering 'Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles' and 'Smarty Pants' tomorrow. Smarty Pants will make an awesome gift for my GF as she love jeopardy type games and it has a lot of variety and all. And as I am getting the Zapper and Link's Crossbow Training the week after, I want to get my Zap on. I might throw down for Ghost Squad too but I will have to feel it out. The price is right though.

i played galaxy this weekend at gamestop, and it pains me to think that i have to send in my wii for maintenance... :(

how come it says the 12th everywhere online for mario but gamestop won't have it until tomorrow, every cd or dvd's release date is the day you can actually go and buy it, why does this have to be so confusing for the one game ive been waiting for.

the problem with video game release dates is that they technically aren't the release dates, if that makes sense.

they simply mean that the game ships on that day. and since the software makers don't typically ship same-day because of cost, it usually takes a day before a shipment will arrive at a store like gamestop or best buy and made available for sale.

for instance, when i was waiting for metroid prime 3, i had to wait until the day after the "shipment" date.

not only that, but my local gamestop where i had done a preorder had to wait until their shipment actually showed up. they kept telling me "should be here no later than 3 p.m.," and i can only assume they said 3 p.m. because most shipment companies like UPS and fedex use 3 p.m. as the latest delivery time when you ship next-day.

Finally! A good release day coming! I'm gonna get my Mario and My Rabids fix and contemplate what I can sell on eBay to get MoH2 and Geometry Wars. Maybe I'll wait till Black Friday and go for the KBToys BOGO on video games... Decisions, decisions.

I just spent the morning driving around to Toys R Us (where an employee last night informed me they had Mario in stock but couldn't sell it till this morning, yet the difficult manager there told me he couldn't sell me it until Tuesday - also they're pre-order display states the 12th as the release date, but still no luck), Best Buy, Gamestop, and Meijer, but nobody(!!!) has it.

I bought Metroid Prime 3 on it's announced release date. And the Wii was released on it's announced release date. So what gives here Nintendo? I took off work today for you and now I get screwed. NOT COOL!

hey ya'll i went to my best buy and they had it.
i picked it up off the shelf, called my toysrus to see if they were selling it yet and when they said tomorrow I was like okay then I am getting it from best buy now! ha ha.

Wow, I didn't realise all these great games were coming this soon. I was surprised when I learned only a few days ago that Umbrella Chronicles comes out this week. I had no idea Raving Rabbids 2, Medal of Honor, and Geometry Wars came out this week too! It's a shame that they are all going to be overshadowed by Mario Galaxy and I probably won't even be able to give most of them a try for a while.

Went to BB first, they didn't have any out (I didn't expect them to, but hoped they might so I could use a gift card). Went to Wal-Mart, and after looking all over the various Wii releases, found it among all the other releases. Expected more copies, but whatever. Galaxy is the best Wii game since the release. I couldn't be happier with it. The delay was worth it.

Anyone else here in Canada get the ol' "This game doesn't come out until the 14th"? Seems like the phantom Canadian release date strikes again!

So what happened to Reggie's "It's coming to the AMERICAS on the 12th"?? Last time I checked North America is part of the Americas, which Canada is situated on!

It took me several stores before I found it. Went to Target first, their magazine said Wednesday, but tried anyways. The guy in the store said thy get it sometime this week. Then I went to Gamestop. They said that it was shipping today and would be here by tomorrow, but might possibly come later today. Then I went to Best Buy, they had it in stock but said they weren't allowed to sell it until tomorrow. Then I tried a different Gamestop and they had just got their shipment in 20 minutes ago. They said that technically they were only allowed to sell to preorders today, but they had some extras and gave me one anyways. I have never had trouble getting a game on launch before. Why was this game so difficult for people to get?
