Super Swing Golf Season 2 trailer is completely ridiculous
Most Japanese teaser trailers and advertisements for games are a little weird, but we never knew the struggle on the links could be so epic. Battles are waged and balls are struck in such an unrealistic manner that would make even Happy Gilmore say "that's just too much." But, it's a video game, so things don't have to be ultra-realistic
What do you all think? Is the game looking like fun, or do you not go in for golf games, no matter how different they are from the traditional sport?

Now that's a fun day at the golf course!

Congratulations Super Swing Golf Season 2, you'd just made it on my games radar.

aye, that was incredible. I NEVER look at golf games but that looked ridiculous and fun. At 40 or less, I'm golden.

LoL.
It looks ... very very funny ^_^
Though I guess it is going to be another party game.

It doesn't make me think "That's too much." It makes me think, "Gee, that looks a lot more entertaining than other golf games... I'd really like to play it!" The developers get bonus points for including K Prime from The King of Fighters and Johnny from Guilty Gear X in the cast.

WOW! I want this game!!!
It sounds boring, but if it's half as fun as watching the video, it's and awesome party game.

And I thought I was the only person who thought that looked like a bucket load of fun!
If the game is half as fun as the trailer, I can see myself spending almost the same time with it as I've spent with Wii Sports over the past year!

Think THAT'S epic? Wait until you see the trailer for the PC version's Season 3 (elements of which seem to be mixed in with the Wii's version of Season 2):

I have--and still enjoy--the original SSG. Tiger wasn't out yet, and I grew up on Hot Shots, so I wasn't turned off by the SD characters or the fact my first caddy was a flying tote bag. And though there's a time and place for realizm, the courses were *fun*. Looking forward to the sequel, thanks for the heads-up.

The "voice acting" sounded like Soul Calibur. Looks fun. I would like to have a Put-Put game, though. That could be a lot of fun...even course design.

At one point in the trailer, it looked like the girl did a proper golf chipping technique. Unrealistic? I say the game designers have done their research! I think they may be golfers AND anime fans.

I don't generally buy golf games. But the only reason is because I have yet to find a modern golf game (ie, rendered in real-time) that tries to simulate actually playing golf.
But everything I've seen lately falls under one of two categories: A. Playing Cartoon Golf (ex. Super Swing Golf), or B. Pretending I'm Watching Golf on ESPN (ex. EA Tiger Woods Golf). Bleh to both.
Just give me a realistic player, course, and physics, and cut the crap with TV announcers, licensed music, and constantly showing Tiger Woods's face instead of something useful like, oh, I dunno, maybe THE BALL I JUST HIT. That would get me to buy a golf game. Something like the old PC golf games from ten years ago, but rendered in real-time and without adding in all of that ESPN-wannabe crap.
I don't want to play what basically amounts to "Pixar Golf". I don't want to pretend I'm a celebrity golfer. And I certainly don't want a game that makes me feel like I'm watching televised golf (because playing golf = fun, and watching golf = dull as shit). I just want to play golf in my living room!

I think the opening character's voice was done by the japanese voice actor for Naruto. That's awesome. And I agree with everyone when I say this game looks like just a great time, really fun! I think of candy and friendship when I look at the trailer!

Looks fun and entertaining but I don't see this game selling a lot because it's golf... Tecmo should just only focus on building rpg, fighting and action games for the wii.
