Is WiiJing the new hot fad?
Forget DJing. That is so old school. Nowadays, it's all about WiiJing.
We're sure you can put two and two together, but just in case you can't, WiiJing is the art of using Wiimotes and software while performing DJ sets. The alterations in the music are therefore based on physical movements. Starting this fad was DJ !, who even hosted a whole WiiJing event, and now? It seems that a guy named WiiJ Timski is also using this technique.
The above video has Timski himself explaining how it all works, with some demonstrations included. It's definitely worth a watch, if you find the art of WiiJing as interesting as we do. We still can't confirm the rumor that Nintendo will be making a WiiJing game, but once they realize that all the cool kids are doing it, we think they'll be on board. This is nerdcore at its finest, folks!
[Thanks, Marc!]

Damnit, I was going to say how retarded this looked, but it is actually pretty interesting. I don't know about it being the next big thing, but it was interesting.

Now that is freaking awesome. I once tried to get into being a DJ and made some really good beats but this looks like it will make mixing and effects so much better than the traditional ways.

Yeah, all you have to do is throw a normal party with cute girls and such, isolate an area and have some guards. All the girls want to touch my Wii !!!

HA HA HA HA *Cough*, Really, the internet isn't the place for insults... real life is. What idiot has cool points? You really put shame to your first name #5.
troy @ Nov 9th 2007 1:02PM
Don't worry Elijah nobody counts mentioning loss of 'cool points' as an insult.

@TROY It's the principle of an intended disrespect which may cause future flaming. I appreciate your response though.

I think that is really awesome. Please some manufacture at the very least make a knock off of the wii mote to do this offically. A motion controled midi controller is a gift fromt he heavens. I have been a midi composer for years. When I first read about the wiimote before it was released, I thought about this. I'm glad to see someone shared that vision.
Hopefully, M-Audio and Nintendo are seeing this video. I'd pay big bucks for a motion midi controller, as long as it was true midi compatible.
