Meta(video)review: Super Mario Galaxy [update]

A couple of outlets have already tossed up video reviews for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy. What we've done is collected them all past the break for a special video version of our Metareview feature. Past the break is three different video reviews for the game, neatly situated for your viewing pleasure. If you want to go into the game pure, however, then you might not want to check them out.

Who's the D-bag in the cap in the 1-up vid? Seemed to be quite a chatty fellow who didn't know what the heck he was talking about. Anyway, I would have definitely enjoyed the review more if he weren't in it.

Seriously, it's worth it. I'm up 82 into this game and I can easily imagine myself playing this game well into next year. Like the video above says, "this game will kick your ass."

he's Shane Bethen... whatever his last name is. He's an ok reviewer but he's been talking some reeeeeaaaally stupid shit against wii games lately (like saying Wii's Nights looks just "marginably" better than Saturn's, yeah). I don't know how can they call this a review, it's obvious that the only one that had played the game to at least some extent as to make a partial review of it was Jeremy Parish (guy on the left), the others just had nothing relevant to say. All three are going to be the ones who make the EGM review, so i fear how they'll score the game cause, from the video, i'd think they just don't give a crap about it (although Shane on the 1up yours podcast seemed quite excited about the game, so who knows).

I really hate to make the accusation, but 1up/EGM REALLY does have an over all loathing for the Wii and Nintendo games in general. I don't even bother with them anymore.

Looked thru half of the reviews: the same old sentimental Mario junk. As usually. As if anybody really doubted it.
Move on. Nothing see here. Better save your $50 bucks for a real game.

What are you talking about? Mario Galaxy is sweet ass. (^.^) But i do agree with u that all reviews are good. I mean, all reviewers have a natural bias toward games so its better to watch all reviews n make up ur own opinion rather then to rely on what one guy tells u.

this game is fun, but i've found it really really super easy. obviously extra guys are easy enough to come by that lives are never a problem, and the bosses have taken me 2 lives max to figure them out and whomp em. The game is really different and pretty fun to play, I just wish it were more challenging. I've had it since monday and I'm about 3/4 of the way through. I found Super Paper Mario to be much more of a challenge and more fun.

this review is mostly hater crap!!!galaxy is hands down tha game or tha year...possibly best game ever..that's right ever!! egm get your head outta sony and microsofts as-es! when did u guys become such fanboys? this is sn amazing game ..wake up! perfect score people -trust me i have it ..it rocks!i also have 360,but i could csre less about beein a fanboy..when a game kicks as- it kicks as- period!believe tha hype people,nintendo keeps makin games like this won't need my 360 anymore!p.s. egm,have fun playin that shooter for the 100th time losers!condsider my subscripition canceled on yur hater mag!
