Endless Ocean's price has a definite stopping point
Those of us interested in exploring the (fake) ocean depths won't need to dive too deeply into their wallets. The price for Endless Ocean has dropped from $39.99 to $29.99, putting it squarely into "impulse purchase" territory when it releases on January 21. It could use the advantage; the first couple of months of 2008 are actually going to be pretty heavy on releases, with Smash Bros. and No More Heroes clamoring for our money, and smaller stuff like Blast Works pushed back into that period as well. We'd like to support unique games like Endless Ocean, but we can't do that if we're out of money. Luckily, by virtue of being a smaller number, it's easier to come up with $30 than it is $40! Good move, Nintendo. We love this new trend of discounted first-party games.

"We love this new trend of discounted first-party games."
As long as they are still decent quality. I don't like the idea of developers thinking "Hey, we are releasing this game at $30, it doesn't need to be good".

Woohoo! I already wanted this game but would have felt guilty ponying up the flow as they say. (Well, somebody prolly says it) Now I can "dive in" with no regret: except the regret about that lame pun.
More first-party discounted titles should follow, I would even get Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion and Wind Waker with Wii controls because I never had a gamecube and don't want the controller sticking out of my wii (where it is in my setup there is no room for even the wavebird box thingy)

oh man, I so want this game.
Im a scuba diver who cant afford to fly to the southern hemisphere for winter, so, this is looking like a worthy substitute

That is good news...considering I just put a reserve down for Ghost Squad and MOH Heroes 2 just today. Cheaper is such a great deal.

@ Dani - I know what you mean! I miss diving so much. :( This game will be my relief from diving drought, especially at this price! :)

Meh, 30 bucks can still buy me Super Metroid, Ocarina of Time, and Sin and Punishment -- surely more enjoyment than this fishtank simulator.

I loved EverBlue 2 so unless this game had REALLY bad reviews I was ready to pay $50. At $30 I'm going to pick it up regardless of the reviews.
