I have a friend who is VERY interested in Zak and Wiki, and I'm curious enough to give it a shot.

Don't have any extra money to invest except that set aside for Galaxy, but I will admit Zak and Wiki has had my interest since the multiplayer doodling feature has been announced. Unfortunately, I don't see myself having the money for it anytime in the next few months.

Games like Z&W deserve support, and at $10 bucks cheaper it's even easier to make the buy.

might pick up zack and wiki. going to wait until later in the week when there are more reviews up.
Frick @ Oct 22nd 2007 11:42AM
What? No mention of the Guitar Hero II release this coming Sunday? Or, are these non-NA releases we're talking about?
James @ Oct 22nd 2007 11:42AM
I think it's kind of a shame, but I predict Zak and Wiki will sell poorly for a few months, drop in price, then a lot of people (like me!) will pick it up at a discount, but the publisher will probably consider it a failure and be wary of similar titles in the future. Which sucks, but that's what you get for delaying until mere weeks before the biggest Wii title ever (EVAR!) drops.
Jeremy @ Oct 22nd 2007 11:47AM
I am waiting for next weeks BWii and SMG. I am also waiting for MOH:Heroes 2.

#6, I think generally they list the games being released through Saturday. I assume you meant Guitar Hero III, and forgive me for not following the release of such an expensive title I know I can't afford (maybe for Christmas), but considering games don't ship on Sundays, I assume that'll come next week, so of course they won't mention it yet.
And #7, I agree, Beyond Good & Evil is a prime example of this. Being released in the calm before the second biggest Wii game ever (are you failing to count Brawl?), it doesn't stand much chance to begin with, but I doubt it would've been noticed otherwise. Another good example is Bill Hatcher. Great game... people tend to avoid these obscure 3rd party games.

Only money I have is goin to Guitar Hero III and SMG otherwise i'd love to try some Zak and Wiki
Justin Hall @ Oct 22nd 2007 12:40PM
vidGuy, at last it has come!
ApoNeurotica @ Oct 22nd 2007 12:37PM
Guitar Hero III !! Sucks that the game comes out a whole month later in Europe...
off-wii-topic: And saving money for Assasin's Creed :D
Frick @ Oct 22nd 2007 1:55PM
#9 - Oops! I did mean GH III. According the various retailers I spoke to, they will be recieving the product this week (Thursday/Friday) for release on Sunday. Or, at least, that's what they've been lead to believe. So, release = this week.
As for price...well, to each his own. $100 CDN for a game and (IMHO) a wicked controller! Not a bad deal...
Carlos @ Oct 22nd 2007 2:43PM
i'll wait for reviews and choose one out of Zack and Wiki, BWii and Medal of Honor Heroes 2. Gamespot and 1up reviews don't count, of course.
Citadel @ Oct 22nd 2007 3:48PM
It's too bad that theres a good chance this game might not do as well as it should. Zak & Wiki is a really solid game hands down, regardless if it's not your type of genre. who knows maybe a lot of parents with little kids might buy this game and sales of Zak & Wiki might not be so dismal when fighting off Super Mario Galaxy. Because you know that the 12-30 age group who has a wii is going for super mario galaxy :B
Either way, I wish Capcom the best on this title.
vidGuy @ Oct 22nd 2007 5:44PM
haha, come it has. I'll be picking my copy up Wednesday. I have no problem supporting games like this, truly unique and a risk in the current video game market, which usually only rewards cliches and generally shuns artistic and creative games. Zack and Wiki, if even half the hype holds true, deserves to sell and sell.
Peter S @ Oct 22nd 2007 5:57PM
Of all of the titles Z&W has my attention the most - I'm definitely planning to pick that up, but am holding off in case someone wants to get that for me for Christmas (my own mistake, though I may change that list soon).
Two titles caught my attention that I hadn't noticed before
- Dancing w/ the Stars (a DDR type game?)
- Playground
I'd seen some ads for Playground, but still don't know what exactly that means. Both sound like potential titles that my kid could play, but that's all I really know. I assume we'll have some reviews up pretty soon on all of these releases?
I have to admit, I'm tempted to pick up Z&W just to give it the early sales help so people realize there is a demand for these types of games.

I am interested in Zac and Wiki, but I'm still a little wary. I'll probably wait and see the reviews. More than likely, however, I'll just save my money for the holiday seasons (plus Phoenix Wright!). I will most likely buy Zac and Wiki some time in the future, but as others have pointed out, it's a bad time for some of these games to come out especially for those of us with precious little video game time.
D. @ Oct 22nd 2007 7:20PM
Maybe Zak and Wiki. Nothing else on that list, though. Like most Wii owners, I'm waiting for SMG.
Rich @ Oct 22nd 2007 9:18PM
I will most definitely pick up Zack & wiki. Looks fun and clever. Then I'll play the hell out of it till November 12 when I'll be playing 39747 different games.
Steven @ Oct 22nd 2007 9:50PM
I'm interested in the Sims Castaway.
