Yay? Australian dev brings Pop to Wii Ware
Sydney-based studio Nnooo (pronounced "No!" as in, "No, our game doesn't really have much to it.") announced last night its plans to develop an all-ages Wii Ware project titled Pop. Playable by up to four people on the same console, Pop "challenges" you to quickly burst bubbles and rack up points with chains and multipliers. Judging from the trailer embedded past the break, the game's design and mechanics are about as simple as they sound. If you're looking for more depth, you might want to hold onto your Wii points and play with a sheet of bubble wrap instead.

You know, if this game is relatively cheap - say, 500-600 points - and allows you to play music off an SD card, then it could actually be pretty cool. It'd definitely be a fun party game.

The fact that this is multiplayer makes it seem kinda fun. Still, I wouldn't pay $5 (500 points) for it. It seems like something that would make a better Flash game than Wii game.
So, it makes me wonder. If a game doesn't do well on via WiiWare, will we see price drops to encourage more sales? I just forsee that some games won't do well if Nintendo judges them to highly. It would be a shame for a developer if a game got stuck at too high of a price point and sold little to nothing.

It'd better have the best bubble popping sound effect ever.

$5.. MAX.
Any more than that is ripping people off.

They should call it POOP. (uh..zing?)
I like the 'not representative of final blah blah.' It always illustrates a complete lack of faith.

I'm sorry, but this just looks horrible. I'm all for the "simple games are cool, too!" stance. Yet this is just rediculous. As racecar said, it seems more like a Flash game.
You know what, scratch all that. I'm sure some people will like it, despite its simplicity and it will make a lot of money. Any support for the Wii is good at this point.
