BWii blowout

But what we're sure you really want to know is: how's the game? Well, we can tell you what we know, but unfortunately, that's not as much as we'd like. It looks like everyone was limited to an extremely brief slice of gameplay when they got to go hands-on with the title, but so far, all outlets seem to be reporting good results. The controls are easy to pick up and seem precise, with the nunchuk controlling movement and the D-pad serving as unit selection. As expected, players aim with their current unit via the remote. To win, all you have to do is destroy more units than your opponent by the end of the round, and you can offer up a rematch to anyone who gives good game. Sounds solid so far, but this close to release, we wish Nintendo had revealed a little more.

A handful of new screenshots and a pair of very limited hands-on impressions do not constitute a "blowout."
I was excited to finally get some real info on this game. Misleading title, come on!

Yeah, the title's misleading, but I WANT THIS GAME!!! Man, I wish it'd show up already! It has so much cool looking stuff, even if it is "cartoony".

Those looking forward to this, did you like the first one? I rented it, but it just failed to "grab" me. Any reason to think this one might have a bit more depth?

The single player is longer, it has multi player (and wifi), more detailed everything, and water units.

Will this have split screen? Lack of that would be its only drawback.

It's got split screen and wireless wii to wii LAN with no other wireless required! So if your buddies got a Wii and the game you should totally have a massive WLAN party!

is the multiplayer only head to head, or can you have say 3 or 4 people on one team against 3 or 4 people on another team?

Finally a LAN party game. I hope you can play co-op via LAN. The Wii is perfect for this sort of play: small, easily transported, no wires for the LAN setup. The only tricky part might be syncing the controllers to the right boxes.
I hope this game really brings good online and LAN play and shows the way for LOTS of other games to follow.
