More Disaster: Day of Crisis screens emerge from the rubble
We like having updates for Disaster: Day of Crisis. It's a pleasant change to the norm of not knowing what is going on. And, as we told you yesterday, we're very much glad the game is still alive. These newest screens, especially the one at the top of this very post, get us so excited for the game. We can't wait until we can get our hands on it.
Head past the break for some more screens.

I think this game will at times blow us away but will generally be a less-polished RE4 in the visual department, which isn't BAD but definitely isn't good either.

There is absolutely no reason this game should look worse than RE4. Hell, there really is no reason it shouldn't look BETTER.

i think the game looks all right (for wii standards, OF COURSE) except for the cars and trees you could see in the other set of pics released, but hopefully they're just simpler models to be replaced as the game furthers in development. I think this will be a good action game, here's hoping.
flamingsquirrel @ Oct 12th 2007 1:15PM
It's first party. I dunno why it shouldn't have polished graphics.
Prof_Chaos @ Oct 12th 2007 2:25PM
It's actually a second-party game isn't it? I could be wrong, but I think this is a Nintendo-owned property being made by an outside developer.
vidGuy @ Oct 12th 2007 2:34PM
Yeah, it's second party. Monolith is making it, Nintendo is publishing it. Of course, Nintendo's going to push for an impressive game, but I stand by my prediction above.
Mr Khan @ Oct 12th 2007 4:35PM
You could call Monolith second-party still, since they aren't wholly owned, but Nintendo owns a majority of their stock
But my guess is that a lot of those bad graphics (like those hideous, hideous trees) are just placeholders while the art is developed seperately
at least i hope. Character models look good, as do water effects

This game is going to be awesome and it looks like it will mix several genres - possibly RPG, third-person shooter, action-adventure...
