Friday Video: Keep your eye on the ball

Soccer fans, take note -- Konami's next installment of Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer is looking pretty good, and it seems they spent some time on the Wii controls. In this week's video spotlight, we've got a lengthy look at the control scheme ... and it's no watered-down, casual-friendly deal, either. Check out the video and see for yourself.

The control scheme seems very intuitive and would make a game like this with so many players running around on the screen so much more enjoyable (i have never liked how a lot of sports games played for this reason alone).... hopefully it's as easy as it looks!

Looks a bit complicated for me not really being a footy player. Must admit though they appear to be putting some great ideas into this title and I imagine it should be very playable for the more hardcore football game players.

Always nice to see developers putting the Wii's unique controls to good use and trying something new.

If only this type of effort were not hindered by a 3 month delay from the other version. I think fans of the series will not be waiting 3 months, and will opt to buy whatever is available at launch.

I was absolutely floored with how Konami is adapting the Wii controls to the game of soccer. I think this will be a must-have title.
