Rare Pokemon cartridge holds a litter of Mews
This special copy of Pokémon Fire Red could make you very, very popular in the GTS or at our own Game Night. That's because it's loaded with Mews. This cartridge was used in one of those Toys 'R' Us Pokémon events, to distribute Mews to store visitors. We don't know exactly how rare something like this is, but there couldn't have been many such cartridges produced for a one-off event at a single retail chain. We wonder if there would be a noticeable change in the GTS once a bunch of "legit" Mews is unleashed into the trading community. Would the relative barter value of Mews adjust? Oh, man, why is Pokémon economics suddenly so interesting? What is wrong with us?

theoretically should be pretty rare, all the cartridges were supposed to be shipped back to Nintendo once the event was completed

1) I am not a pokemon fan.
2) However, it seems ironic to me that you couldn't use this cart for its primary purpose with your DS.

well it's "primary purpose" was to give out Mews to GBA players, over a link cable. presuming this cartridge hasnt been used at all, every single box is filled with Mews, leaving no space for actual gameplay without erasing them first.
barring the DS's capability to trade GBA's, they can be transferred onto the DS pokemon games and traded that way

Next week, Serebii bans all talk of trading Mews from #spp-wifi, legit or no.
Also, if you're wondering, "producing" these carts should be nothing more than taking a standard cart and editing the memory... Hell I can generate one right now with an Action Replay, a "Put Mew in Slot 1 Box 1" code, and a little time... but I guess this is technically "legit" since Nintendo made it. ;)

I work for Toys R Us, and was at the Mew give away last year, and we had 2 carts for the Mew transfer, but the guy we had running it didn't know much about pokemon and therefore about 200-300 people were turned away. He didn't know about the second cart. Not to mention, the Nintendo Rep didn't come for about a month after the event, to pick up the 2 cartridges we had. I made out like a bandit and got 10 Mews on my fire red and 4 on my leaf green. I also ran the Manaphy event this year.
