Behind the scenes with Raving Rabbids 2

For how much we complain about minigame compilations on the Wii, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 looks to be quite the treat. We generally enjoy all of the entries in the Rayman series and found the first title to not only be fun, but also funny. The inclusion of the new real life locales spices things up a bit, as well.

Any of you looking forward to those crazy rabbids' second outing on the Wii?

This is one of my Top 3 games to get right now:
1. Smash Bros.
2. Guitar Hero III
3. RRR2

The first one was a lot of fun and still remains my top-rated party game, but I'm definitely looking forward to more 4-player simultaneous games and customizable Rabbids.

That actually looks pretty alright. I had the first one for a while but I traded it in because it lost its flair quickly. To me, the multiplayer was not very fun at all; though the single player was. The game completely fell off once you beat it.

So hopefully this is better! The live action is a very cool idea. We'll see!

I could care less, but since its the only game above 8 bits that the girlfriend gets into, I will be buying it day one.

my girlfriend finished the first one, and i enjoyed it as well, so i'll probably pick this one up

This actually makes me a bit nervous. Why? Because

1) any game that has ever used real video footage for in game levels has almost always been terrible (or at least, would have been better with out it).

2) of all of the screens and footage I've seen of RRR2 I've yet to see the grappling hook in action or someone using the nunchuck in the on rails shooter levels. Why is that bad? Well, shaking the nunchuck to reload and using the grappling hook in those levels is a huge, almost vital part of what made them so intuitive and fun in RRR1. Lets all hope that Ubi hasn't finished that part (nunchuck integration in the on-rails sections) or just isn't showing it to us yet, because without proper nunchuck implementation (including grappling hook), these levels will likely blow in comparison to the ones from the original.
