Eternity's Child ditches XBLA for Wii
Not because the service isn't the optimal way to distribute the title, mind you, but because of space restriction. See, if you're unfamiliar with Eternity's Child, it uses a lot of high-resolution 2D art and the space restrictions for downloads on Microsoft's service has made the title's appearance on their Xbox 360 console an impossibility. But, hey, that's good for us.
During an interview, Luc Bernard (who is the creator behind this stylish title) mentioned that the game would not focus on utilizing the motion-based controls of the Wiimote, instead opting to possibly throw some kind of functionality in here or there, in a smaller capacity. Also, Bernard stated that the game could also come to the DS, although it would be a very different title should that happen.

Since you didn't pay attention to the item when I sent it yesterday, there's been an update - it's for DS, too.

Oh wow! When I first saw this in the Official Xbox Magazine I thought it was the coolest looking arcade game, but as I read the article (about user made XNA games), it said that the games weren't being released on the Marketplace because user made content is still a no-go with MS. I had forgotten all about this, wow. Could this be one of the first Wii Ware games that's talked about in the Sept 07 Nintendo Power? Hmmmm.
