Luminous Arc 2 loves big butts and it cannot lie
Perhaps to counter Luminous Arc's mediocre review scores and lacking sales, character designer Kaito Shibano has shifted the sequel's art direction away from the ample bustlines of the original game, instead drawing our eyes to the only thing boys dream about more than online-enabled SRPGs: callipygian women.
The above image, minus the Sir Mixalotism we've added (of which we have many we're waiting to share with you), greeted us upon our arrival at the official Japanese site that publisher Marvelous Interactive set up yesterday. There's not much available in the way of new media, but the character section is sure to eventually include a better look at the witch antagonists's cheekier outfits.
Of course, while we're on the subject, we have to ask: Are you a Luminous Arc kind of guy, or do you consider Luminous Arc 2 Will more of a priority?

LA2, Another Game to Have on the pocket!
Serious. I don't understand why people say so bad of Luminous Arc. The game is an FFT-like, and it's really good, but it's not all, the history is fantastic! God Will Destroy the word, why anyone thought it before?
I love this game, I love all the lovely witches, i will buy this new game and "I WILL PUNISH YOU ALL"! ;D

I think LA didn't do so well in the reviews because the critics didn't play the game very long. There's a lot of talky stuff in the beginning you can't skip and the storyline might turn off people who aren't interested in religion. (I'm not a religious person but there were some hints the story would be changing so I kept at it.) If you like FFTA then I recommend Luminous Arc, I think it's a lot more fun than the reviews want you to believe.

I predict an animated cut scene with Nikolai's head exploding.

Kristi, that pretty much sums up what I've heard from everyone -- that this one definitely gets better as it goes along.

Agreed, I honestly think most critics didn't play the game in its entirety. I've been playing SRPGs before FFT. While I can say that I'm a bit biased towards the genre, I can still say for sure that this one isn't a bad apple.
I simply took the game for what it is -a light-hearted SRPG that has strong anime influences- and I've been having the most fun with my DS since Ouendan 2.

Hmm it didn't recieved that many bad reviews, at least not so many the article makes you believe. It recieved low ratings such as 6/10 and high ratings ranging from 8/10 to even 10/10 .
Sites and mags that review a lot of games have rated it lower, propably because they didnt spend much time playing it.
and the wifi feature is nice. hope to seee more from you LA players online these days! :D
To Anne Droyd, I am sure your butt is fine too lol :P

The only bad thing in LA is the buggy touchscreen interface. The story is kinda good, the witches are cute, and the gameplay is decent (taking aside the touchscreen issues).
I'm looking forward to LA2, and hoping they fix the bugs that make it annoying sometimes.

LA *is* as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be; which is to say, it's a solid 6 to 7 on a 10 point scale. I agree with an above poster that the game should definitely be taken lightheartedly, but you have to be honest when it comes to LA. Typos galore, both in character speech (I believe this is a font issue) and in the game itself (Vanessa has an ATTDWN skill that's description says it RAISES Att on units) - graphical glitches on the playing field and in cutscenes - strange lag at times while trying to go through text during exposition sequences - a HORRIBLE TurnOrder list that never accurately gives you a perfect idea of who will come when in the order - the list goes on and on. DESPITE the game's shortcomings, I am playing it and enjoying it but it's certainly no FFT.
