Super Everything-But-Dodgeball DS screenshots

Even without the Cold War propaganda, we're still crazy excited about Super Dodgeball DS, setting our budgets, vacation time, and gods of worship around its release. These latest screenshots from the Kunio-themed sports title have us licking our lips, partly out of lust, partly due to chapped lips.

If you thought Super Dodgeball DS's screwiness peaked with its "Panda Shoot" power shot, just look at the screenshot above. One player has crossed the line separating the two teams, a barrel hoisted over his head. His teammate below, encased in ice, is being punched back to the other side of the arena. One of their opponents has curled up into a morph ball while another lies on the ground, unconscious or maybe dead. Complicating matters, the Snowman spectators have even begun to wander into the match. The dodgeball sits to the side, completely forgotten.

We've got more wild images past the post break -- Eiffel Tower summoning! A thrown mackerel! A small, yapper-type dog!

Oh no! It's the fish from The Legend of the Mystical Ninja!

Where did that adorable puppy come from?

If it has WiFi, I will get it. If it is budget-priced, I will get it. If it has a battleball mode, I will get it. (FYI, battleball is like dodgeball, except each team has two markers on their back line and if an opponent can get one of the other team's markers, everyone on the opponent's team comes back in. Really fun.)

I absolutely ADORED this on the GBA and am looking forward to this outing, though I think I prefered the character design on the gba... (though this reminds me of that wild soccer game on the original game boy - and nes - think it was just called world cup, and it had crazy overhead powershots as well!!)

This is the game I have been waiting for since college! It reminds me of Nintendo World Cup Soccer for NES ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_World_Cup ) with the zany power shots. Back in college we played the heck out of that game! This will probably be the cart that never leaves my DS!
