DQIX gets pushed back to 2008

Those of you who've been eagerly awaiting Square Enix's latest title on the DS will have to wait extra long, as the company has announced that Dragon Quest IX has been delayed until 2008. The reason for delaying the game? Square Enix apparently needs to improve the quality of the game, but we're going on machine translation, so it isn't the best.

Who will be joining us for a cry session in the corner?

A sad day for gaming.., except I got Metroid Prime 3! It will help me through this tough time.. lol

I hope that they pushed it back to include Wifi Multiplayer ! ( According to their site it seems so) I guess they want to do a perfect game, so the Japanese won't boykott them.

Well, it'll give me more time to enjoy the crapload of other games that are coming out for the DS in the near future. So yeah, I'm not scarred for life by this news.

I'm trying to look at the bright side of this: my pocketbook can't handle many more games right now, and there are A LOT of great games coming out in the next few months leading up to Christmas. Yes, this delay is going to suck, but it'll give me time to play other great games, and give me more time to get the money up for this one.

And well if Square really is trying to improve the quality...I can't fault them for trying to make the game really, really great.
