Just_a_guy @ Jul 28th 2007 10:26AM
um... Zach and wiki.
Elric @ Jul 28th 2007 10:48AM
If that's not a tribute to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I don't know what is!
That is awesome, I hope out in the galaxy is also a bowl of petunias! "Oh no, Not again."

Wii Music.
snkngshps @ Jul 28th 2007 11:05AM
I've been very excited about Dewy's adventure as well as Zach and Wiki.
Nick @ Jul 28th 2007 11:19AM
I'm very interested in how Endless Ocean turns out. It looks like it's going to be the Wii's Pilot Wings 64: a beautiful game you play when you just want to relax.
the real mii @ Jul 28th 2007 11:32AM
zack and wiki. looks so good but ign makes it sound great. waiting to hear more reviews and opinions of course.
DonWii @ Jul 28th 2007 12:58PM
Other.... games?????????
Zack & Wiki, No More Heroes(2007?, Dewey's Adventure.
Abscissa @ Jul 28th 2007 1:00PM
Count me in as another for Zak and Wiki.
A few years ago I would have been excited about the new Nights, but I don't have much faith left in Sega these days.
Of course, I'm more interested in pretty much anything than Smash Brothers. I enjoyed the N64 version for a while, then got tired of it. My brother got the GC version, and I played it for about two minutes before realizing it was the exact same game I was already tired of. So, yea, I'll be passing on the Wii version. I am looking forward to Metroid and Mario, though. I might have been interested in Wii Fit if it wasn't so heavy on yoga and step aerobics.
And allow me to take this opportunity to say: Where the heck is the Wii Pikmin and Animal Crossing? (EA's Wii Sims doesn't count)
DonWii @ Jul 28th 2007 1:00PM
I'm wondering what the third tier will be...
hvnlysoldr @ Jul 28th 2007 1:01PM
That picture is from Space Station Tycoon. And no it doesn't have any relation to all the other tycoon games. For one there's story. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I don't care if it's a shameless plug, I want Mario and Sonic. If that game is successful how much more likely will more games be made with them.
Abscissa @ Jul 28th 2007 1:05PM
Oh yea, and it would certainly be nice to have a TRUE follow-up to StarFox 64. SF Adventures, SF Assault and SF Command don't count.
TD @ Jul 28th 2007 1:11PM
I'm unhealthily excited about Trauma Center: New Blood. That was my favourite news coming out of E3. Aside from that, My Sims and Lego Star Wars Complete are sharing radar space with Galaxy and Brawl.
flameofdoom666 @ Jul 28th 2007 1:37PM
hvnlysoldr-
that picture is from Super Mario Galaxy, and you can see it is. Mario's life bar is on the top right of the picture, and in the back you can see the black holes that appear in nearly every Galaxy video.
-----------------------------------------------------
As far as the article goes, There are quite a few titles I am excited for. I put the games into two lists. The first list is games I MUST own, and the second list is games I am considering, and need to play first to be convinced either way.:
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption (8/27/07)
Battalion Wars 2 (10/29/07)
Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn (11/5/07)
Super Mario Galaxy (11/12/07)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (12/3/07)
No More Heroes
Mario Kart Wii –comes with a steering wheel– (Early 08)
Zach & Wiki
This list are games I am considering, except I need to actually play them first.
Super Mario Strikers Charged (7/30/07)
DK Barrel Blast (10/8/07)
Endless Ocean (10/29/07)
Wii Fit (2008)
I think the 360 has a great lineup, the PS3 has a terrible line up, and the Wii has an amazing line up. Getting 10 games a year, would result in approx 60 games for a console after its lifetime... That is a lot of games for one system if you ask me! Plus i already own 6 Wii games. After all of the 3rd party publishers jump aboard, it will be very hard to stop the Wii from winning this gen.
October 29th, Battalion Wars 2, and Endless Ocean come out. 1 week later (7 days exactly), Fire Emblem comes out. 1 week later (7 days exactly) Super Mario Galaxy comes out. CRAZY first party games (which tend to be the best anyway). Long live the Wii!
Snowden @ Jul 28th 2007 4:25PM
First of all, No More Heroes. That game is going to be incredible. I'm dying to play it.
Second of all, everyone is forgetting something very very important: Guitar Hero III!!!
I'm a huge guitar hero fan, and the fact that I'll be able to get III for Wii means I won't have to argue with my brother over who gets to take the PS2 when I leave for college in the fall.
Patrick @ Jul 28th 2007 2:42PM
The lower key game I've been wanting the most (but not that much) is De Blob. And I know the Stephen Spielberg games look primitive, but Blocks looks pretty cool if it does what they say.
Andres Romero @ Jul 29th 2007 2:17PM
Definetly Lego Star Wars!! I got to play the first one on my friend's ps2, and i thought it was awesome...
Soul Calibur Legends... I think that will be worth buying!!
And what about Fire Emblem?? I'm really not familiar with the plot or anything, but I wasn't familiar with Metroid before I played Smash Bros either... I think I'm gonna check it out!!
derfreddy @ Jul 28th 2007 5:20PM
im one of those someones.. i bought the first prime because of the reviews and stopped playing after the first ten minutes. maybe i should give it a second chance. dewy's adventure is going to be a fun game i think.
Mr Khan @ Jul 28th 2007 5:29PM
No More Heroes and NiGHTS 2 are the only lesser titles that have my attention
But i would probably give Dewy's Adventure and Zack and Wiki consideration if it weren't for the big 3 and Phantom Hourglass this year
LandoX @ Jul 28th 2007 6:26PM
NiGHTS, absolutely. I've waited 11 years for that game to come out, so my attention and expectations of that title are pretty big right now.
Jared @ Jul 28th 2007 7:43PM
No More Heroes + Guitar Hero III
samfish @ Jul 28th 2007 10:36PM
I'm about as excited for NiGHTS as I am for Mario Galaxy. Hell, I'd probably be MORE excited for NiGHTS, but there are no gameplay impressions of it anywhere.
I seem to be the only person on Earth who really liked Sonic & The Secret Rings, so I'm cautiously optimistic about NiGHTS 2.
I'm very interested in Dewey's Adventure, but the E3 impressions put a bit of a dampener on that. It seems a lot of people thought the game was nothing mind blowing.
Also interested in Zack & Wiki...but the point and click adventure pace kind of gives me a bit of pause, admittedly.
I've been getting more and more excited for No More Heros, but the lack of 1:1 swordplay is a bit of a downer.
The upcoming Bleach game looks like it might have potential, too.
FF @ Jul 28th 2007 10:49PM
Medal of Honor Heroes 2. Online FPS is finally coming the Wii.
WhoDey @ Jul 28th 2007 10:50PM
Outside of the big two (Smash Bro's does not interest me in the least), there are quite a few titles I'm interested in.
1) Wii My Sims: I enjoy The Sims games are really love Animal Crossing, count me in.
2) Endless Ocean: Sounds like a slow paced exploration game with beautiful environments to explore.
3) Zack and Wiki: This puzzle games seems to have loads of potential.
4) Dewey's Adventure: The previews I have read seem really interesting, plus I love playing in cartoon environments.
5) NIGHTS: Never played the original but this looks fun.
6) Harvest Moon: Any Harvest Moon title interests me.
7) Fire Emblem: I absolutely loved the GCN version.
Gordon @ Jul 28th 2007 11:11PM
Shoulda had the whale on a Wii balance board.
kraoro @ Jul 29th 2007 12:42AM
I played the Zach and Wiki demo at the San Diego Comic-Con, so I'm most looking forward to that or No More Heroes as far as "second tier" games go.
GenoBoost @ Jul 29th 2007 1:33AM
Am I the only one thoroughly excited about Batallion Wars 2? I loved the first one, and the one thing that was missing, multiplayer has been added! Plus Wi-Fi Multiplayer no less!
Howard Pendleton @ Jul 29th 2007 7:09AM
i can't believe more of you didn't say super mario strikers..it's coming out the soonest, and it's the first real game with online playing (pokemon shouldn't count)
Mr Khan @ Jul 29th 2007 1:29PM
I presumed Strikers was a first tier title, as its a good, first party game, and those are always the mainstays of a Nintendo system
Also, Samfish, you're not alone, i loved Secret Rings too, and will continue to do so, no matter how many rotten tomatoes get chucked at me...
Michael K. @ Jul 29th 2007 2:33PM
No More Heroes, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles are the third party ones that come to mind that i am really excited for. I thought I would be interested in Nights but i really dont care about it. Also dewwy's adventure and zak and wiki dont really have my attention but im not closed off to them, and i hate guitar hero so i dont care about whatever one is coming to wii.
doogles @ Jul 29th 2007 6:36PM
Dewy's Adventure, Mario Strikers (which I will get next week) and Fire Emblem are all very near and dear to my heart.
AC-91 @ Jul 30th 2007 11:54PM
Space Station Tycoon all the way! The story is going to be hilarious, and the gameplay looks great. Comes out August 28th, it will be a great game!
Erik @ Jul 30th 2007 10:47AM
SOMEONE REDO BIONIC COMMANDO!
I loved the way that game played. And I think the Wiimote could do a killer job at making the grapple mechanics for the game a lot of fun. (It's worked for Metroid? Don't know, haven't played it.) I'm just wondering if they can still maintain the same fluid gameplay with some realistic physics.
Might as well bring Hitler back again! You can do wonders with cloning! :D
