First, the good news: after speaking with NoA's PR star Beth Llewelyn, AMN reports that
Disaster: Day of Crisis is trucking along. Since this is one of the games we've been most hoping to see (for a
long, long time), we're pleased to hear it.
Project H.A.M.M.E.R., however, does in fact seem to be either
canceled, or at least indefinitely on some back burner in a forgotten room. Well, E3 can't be all about good news, we supposed, but we seriously wanted to smash things with a giant hammer. And who can blame us?

Thanks for the great news Alisha, I'm one of the few thats actively searching for news regarding this title, with no luck so far.
It seemed like the game had suffered its name. Kinda like the Phantom Console, or Duke Nukem Forever :P

And so...the Hank 'n' Slash's little brother, the Smash 'n' Bash, remains locked his his room...forever forgotten, most likely.
I was really interested in Project HAMMER, too :/

Meh. P:H looked like a really generic action game. If it were on any other platform, would you have given it a second glance?
ronaldraygun @ Jul 13th 2007 9:59PM
sean its a blog. and the news about hammer being cancelled was a rumor and the main news here is disaster is still on, why though they can't show us anything about it.
S.A.M @ Jul 14th 2007 9:46AM
Chris, if it were being developed by any other developer, i wouldn't have ginen it a second glance. But it was being made by Nintendo.

I'd still say that since it was NST working on that title, that means that something better is coming from that dev team
Good to know Disaster wasn't put into dev limbo
