E307: Soul Calibur Legends trailer

After finally getting to see Soul Calibur Legends in action, we're not sure bashing a bunch of clay vases or fighting a boulder up stairs is our idea of the definitive hack-and-slash experience. Also, we're not convinced the game will have one-to-one gesture measurement, either. We are convinced that battling gigantic boss monsters is fun, though.

So they completely cut the beat'em'up part and focus on waggle-aided hack'n'slash. Great.
I'm gonna get myself that Sony pizza oven thing when it gets cheaper here in EU to play the real SC.

Man, talk about dissapointing.--Sure the graphics may not be great, I expected that for the Wii (though they look worst then GCN SC II); but the gameplay scares me: does anyone else think its going to a dynasty warriors with crazy swinging action? Sounds fun for 10 mins....

ZOMG. This is the gameplay 200% tuned for *classical* controller.

Can anybody imaging what is takes to swing/tilt controller for N hours in row? And this is how target audience of the game is used to play. Because casual players would get bored by memorizing all the combos in first five minutes of tutorial.

Or is it only me - hurt by Raving Rabids swinging controls??? I do not think so. At least in Raving Rabids the silliness is limited to very short lifetime of mini game. But as this Soul Calibur looks - some fans might really injure their hands since wrist - the joint connecting palm to hand - is really fragile. (Long hours of moving mouse from one part of screen to another? I bet everybody working with Wind0ze experienced that at least once.)
