E307: Forever Blue crossing the pond as Endless Ocean

Forever Blue, the ocean exploration game from Arika, has been announced for a US release, with the slightly different. but thematically identical, title of Endless Ocean. We've got a short, but very pretty gallery of screenshots, and a similarly bite-size trailer. The trailer's music is as relaxing as the game looks. Look at that screen up there. It just exudes serenity even when a sea creature is bearing down on the poor diver.

It totally works. The song is nice.

Madly enough, I'm quite excited about this game.

This looks like a great game to get stoned to and play in a dark room with... I mean, this looks neat.

I for one vote down the new name
Although the game looks like it'd be worth a rent

The new name is a bit too literal for me. Seems kinda...dumbed down, to be honest. Despite that, I'm gonna rent it from GameFly at some point. Looks entertaining for a bit but like it'd get stale fast...

Being that I'm landlocked (grew up in the islands and SCUBA diving) this game will be fun to play if not to just reminisce. :(
Oh, the music is by a group call The Secret Garden (I believe). Very cool music. One of my favorite groups.

I believe that I will be buying this on day one, I love games where you can just explore endlessly, but I wish they would have kept the original name, Forever Blue just sounds better than Endless Ocean.

This game looks better every time I see it! The graphics have vastly improved and everything si just soo relaxing! Oh, and as for the song, it's not by the Secret Gardens, it's by Haley Westerna. I think it's called Maybe.

This game is confusing my gameplay over graphics arguments. I mean, it's really pretty looking, but there's absolutely nothing to do, but I still want to play it to... relax? I don't know exactly why I like it yet, but with the multiplayer exploration in there, I definitely like it.

This game is a rehash of Everblue 2 which was released for PS2 in 2003. Just get it from eBay or something, no need to wait for US release of the Wii port.
Better yet - save your dollars as Everblue 2 was garbage and this is unlikely to be any different.

I´m also very much looking forward to this game. It´s gonna sothe the crap out of me!
Now watch my brilliant "The Life Aquatic" allusion!
The text is german, it is mostly about conquering the rest of the world. Just ignore it... ^^

Stupid trackback-links and stupid anti-fistshaking laws!
Btw, I wanted to type "soothe" not "sothe". And forget about that conquering stuff.
I´m not dumb or evil. I´m just German...

I'm interested to see if there's any story/game to it or if it's just for peaceful enjoyment. Either way it'll be interesting to check out.

Lame. I was actually naming an experimental solo music project "Endless Ocean" but now I guess I need to rename it to something else.... hhmmm let's see....
How about.....WarioWare? Taken? DAMN
