Wii Warm Up: Your E3 predictions

We've been laying down some predictions -- albeit ridiculous, silly predictions -- for quite a while now, and while we may just get serious later ('cause E3 is serious business), we thought it might be a good time to take a break and ask you what you think will happen at the new show. Tragic game delays? Hot new announcements? New channels? C'mon, share!

Yeah thier gonna give a couple hints on new SSBB Characters + a new feature. Also thier gonna show Animal Crossing, the Mario Kart Wii GP, the Popularity Channel, Some new online games, More on Mario Galaxy, and at the last minute thier gonna reveal Metroid Corruption online :) so thats about it in a nut shell. I think well all be suprised!

They won't reveal Sonic as being in Brawl.

They'll show either Mario Kart or Star Fox...because otherwise, they don't got nuthin' coming out in '08.

Mario Galaxy will be delayed to 2008.

Hard drive will be shown.

The long dead franchise that's supposedly going to be revived will probably be Pilot Wings......but I'm still crossing my fingers for Kid Icarus!
Punch-Out wouldn't surprise me, either, though.

probably a few new characters in brawl(hopefully sonic), some more brawl onfo, mario kart wii, animal crossing, guitar hero 3, the zapper shell, wii music, mario galaxy, and a 2008 delay on MP3

Mii's will be able to fight in brawl... and you'll be able to customize their moves somehow...
(of course that's after you beat it 99 times perfectly)

and they'll tell us that cloud was initially supposed to be in it but due to legal issues he was pulled out.

and a first person harry potter shooter (does that make it a wander?) with the wiimote...

I predict that there wont be a Super Mario Galaxy...Trust me. And I'm hoping that Sonic is going to be in SSBB, That would be so cool. Too bad about that SMG.(Smirk)

Basically what everyone else said but hopefully more info on Mario Galaxy and more on Smash Brothers, and any news on Mario Kart Wii. I want to hear something about New Super Mario Bros 2, i really want a new platforming mario game.

Smash Brothers i hope that Sonic and Team makes it in the game, it'll be a dream. I heard someone said about Cloud, i really really hope Final Fantasy characters dont make it in the game.

And i think they said there wont be any online Metroid Prime 3....which is a disappointment but i hope i'm proven wrong.

the weird thing is that everybody who has a wii told me that they are going to get super smash brawl. Like i knew it was big but i didn't thing it was that big. i will be the first to get it.

I expect at least one of the following:

Brawl will get a release date, around November. They will reveal one new character, but I have a feeling it will be a 3rd party character other than Sonic.

A new level from Super Mario Galaxy will be shown but the game will either not receive a release date or will be officially pushed back to 2008.

Nintendo will announce no less than 3 new games/franchises for the casual gamer, including Wii Music, which will either come with a pack-in or will be released at the casual-friendly price of $30.

Nintendo will speak about the WiiWare channel but will not show it off. We'll get a hint of "a new storage method" but it won't be detailed. I'd love for them to open up the USB to all external storage methods.

Wild and wacky prediction: Nintendo will announce all of Brawl's online details, including up to 8 player Smash via 4Wii+4GC control methods, will date it and SMG before the holidays, and will drop the price of the Wii to $199.

That last one just ain't happening.

vidGuy, I hate to burst yours and everybody else's bubble but Super Mario Galaxy got canceled, seriously when was the last time any of you heard ANYTHING from SMG.

musleem, Melee was the GC's biggest seller, and the Wii is moving units much faster than the GC did. I wouldn't be surprised if Brawl surpassed 5 million in sales within the first year. It's going to be a system seller, for sure.

Dark Lord, some great things live in secrecy. Nintendo knows SMG is a big card, they're playing it close to the chest for now. No big deal.

I'm not arguing whether SMG is a big card or not. I'm just saying that this guy at gamestop told me that the SMG testers said that they hated the controls and that it got canceled.

The disc slot also has a built in toaster, for those people who enjoy gaming in the morning. Aswell as the wii being home to thousands of little gremlins that come out while your sleeping and whisper in your ears to go buy more nintendo products.

We've heard these kind of doom-and-gloom statements before, though, Dark Lord

I still remember speaking with GameStop employees about how GC was going to be Nintendo's last home console, back in 2003

They wouldn't cancel the game, anyway, it would be a massive restructuring at the most

And you know what the guys at GameStop told me? That Halo 3 was canceled because of poor turnout and response from the beta, that MGS4 will be available as a free download on WiiWare, and the PS3 has sold 50 million units worldwide.

Sorry to be harsh, but GameStop employees are far from reliable for these kinds of things. They are video game fans with their own biases, too. Nintendo will not CANCEL Super Mario Galaxy. They might retool it and delay it, but that's what I expected them to do anyway.

Oh and about Galaxy controls, IGN Matt says they are very intuitive. You can watch video of him playing it and it definatly looks like the controls work.

Dark Lord you are very funny... I think you've actually gotten a few people worried. Although, there is a possibility of a delay I wouldn't expect any drastic changes to Galaxy, but if they would make any changes I'd like to see some 2 player co-op action with Luigi and while I'm dreaming let's just make it online co-op.

...oh and I work @ Best Buy so everything I say must be true... us retail employees have a secret red "Nintendo Phone" in the back room that's a direct line to Reggie's voice mail where he leaves us these "top secret messages". /sarcastic rant
