We may have had screens to
drool over recently, but we'll always take
video over
screens any day of the week. And it's video overload at the Japanese site for
Dragon Quest Swords as the site houses not one, or two videos, but an incredible
nine different snippets from the game. So, without further ado, let's check out the videos:
- Video - Encountering and fighting the enemy
- Video - Taking a stroll
- Video - Selecting enemies
- Video - Character assistance
- Video - Narration
- Video - NPC interaction
- Video - Navigating a river
- Video - Activating sword powers
- Video - Monsters montage

Waving with WiiMote to attack sucks.
It didn't really work in Zelda - but yet they gonna copy it over anyway... ;_;

looks good.. i like the idea of a one-handed rpg, leaves the other one free for tea and cigarettes

From all the videos this game plays nothing like Zelda. It does not show a visual sword on screen so it has a lot more headroom. The point is to optimize your strikes by getting as many enemies in your strike at the same time. Overall it is clear to see that you have never paid attention to the media on this game. It is not going to be as deep an RPG as people might like, but for what it is I think it will be a fun pick up and play title with RPG aspects.

this looks pretty damn cool. I'm probably gonna get it
but if they manage to do ONE cool piece of gameplay outside of the combat engine, then I might just recommend it to all my friends

What's wrong with on-rails?
