Picross DS gets downloadable content in the US
We mentioned previously that the European and Japanese releases of Picross DS had weekly downloadable puzzles, some of which were drawn from Mario's Picross and Mario's Super Picross. Well, being total skeptics, we didn't believe we'd see this feature in the US. It's just too cool for us! It turns out we were delightfully wrong. Starting on the game's July 30th release date, players will be able to download new bonus puzzles every week. That should be great for people who, unlike us, will complete more than one puzzle!

This game looks good to me. It's a must-have, especially during that terrible summer game drought.

Would anyone care to explain why the Euro Picross DS has gotten NO downloads since launch?
(Note: using it in Amerika)

Will I have to be in certain hot spots to DL the new puzzles? Or can I use my USB Wifi adapter?

Europe has had download content. We got two sets of 10 grids from Mario's Picross. That was getting on for a month ago but we've had nothing since. Come on Nintendo, I've as good as finished the Normal stages and am making steady progress into the Free stages. We need more Picross dagnabbit!
Joe, you just need access to a Wifi access point, be it your USB adaptor, home wireless network or {insert favourite chain of burger joint/coffee house/pub here}

Did they ever fix the problem in the Euro version where all the downloads cept the mario picross ones came up as 5x5 squares with 1 blank square in the middle? That was really annoying.

Apparently those were merely placeholders for later content to see if the download service actually worked. Someone probably just forgot to clear down the service before launch day. They're long gone now.

I am looking forward to this cart. I'm actually saving up for it (I know, amazon lists it at $19.99, but I'm on a serious budget here!) I had heard there would be a way to create, upload, and share picross puzzles w/ the rest of the world. Can anyone confirm/deny that?
