DS Daily: Dream fighter

Let's face it: there aren't many decent fighters for the DS. Japan received the superb Jump Superstars, featuring an insanely large cast of everyone's favorite anime characters, but was not seen fit for localization. While DS Fanboy is all about hopes and dreams, we're also about violence; with that in mind, what fictional characters would you like to see slug it out?

We eliminate standard Nintendo characters; we already have Smash Bros. for those rivalries. We're talking real pirate vs. ninja stuff here. Suggestions among our staff have included Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea against Nemo from Finding Nemo, and the singer of Bananaphone against Charlie the Unicorn.

I think the only reason Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny didn't have Crab vs. Lobster or Pirate vs. Ninja is that those became popular in the recent decade and not the 80s. Totally want a fighting game based on the song.

We need a stealth action shoot-out (or...knife-out...or neck-snap-out...). Solid Snake, Sam Fisher, Gabriel Logan, Garrett from Thief, the guy from Assassin's Creed, 47 from Hitman, any of the ninjas from Tenchu, and round it all out with the guy from Psi-Ops.

Or alternatively we could have a special I-don't-like-to-fight battle - Derek Stiles from Trauma Center, versus Cooking Mama, and halfway through the battle, throw in a bunch of shopkeepers from just about any game that's ever had a shopkeeper. That includes all of Castlevania's - the Master Librarian, Hammer, Vincent, and that weird guy from Harmony of Dissonance.

It's a great little fighting game that I think would be perfectly suited to DS...

Any fighting game will do! With so many ports from the DS to Wii/Gamecube and vice versa why not a Smash Bros for the DS!?

I can see Jump Superstars being fun but being the only game I have ever imported, it was a waste of money. Way to much text for any non-speaking Japanese person to enjoy, even with translation sites.
