More Dragon Ball Z on the Wii; TV show continues to be old
Even though the series started in Japan back in 1989, and ended in 1996, the tie-in games just keep on coming for Dragon Ball Z. Atari has announced Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Wii and PS2. Like the previous installment on Wii, this is part of the Dragon Ball Z Sparking series in Japan and is developed by Spike.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 will include improved Wii controls and over 150 playable characters, which is a lot of big-haired dudes and blonde versions of those same big-haired dudes. The stages will include day/night versions, which opens up a transformation ability for many characters. There's a teaser animation on the Japanese website, but no screens or anything yet.
What did you all think of the last DBZ game on Wii? Are you enthused about another one? Has the series been run into the ground?

Tenkaichi 2 is simply one of the most complex fighting games I've ever played, right up there with VF4. It's some good stuff.
That said, if all they're gonna' add is another 20 or so fighters...I think I'll pass. I wouldn't buy Madden every year, and this series seems to be going in the same direction.
It's a shame, but what can you?

"What can you do?"
Missed the last word.

The series was run into the ground when they botched the english dub.

I wonder how many more DBZ games they're actually gonna make? (i think you know the answer)

I find the over-acting dubs to be even more funny and memorable than the subs, though the dubs are from cut versions.
Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?
IT'S OVER NINE THOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUSSSSSAAAAAAAAAANDD!
WHAT NINE THOUSAND!

I thought DBZBT2 (geez, that's a long abbreviation) was actually pretty fun. Of course, I just downloaded a save to have all the characters from the get-go, and have only really played against my friends. Maybe my opinion isn't really valid, then...

This is my absolute fighting series, I've been buying Dragonball Z Fighting games ever since the SNES era! And the Budokai Tenkaichi Series is my favorite. They are going in the right direction with this series, and the looks like the best version graphically and technically as well. I can't wait.

DBZTB2 is a great game.
It currently takes most of my Wii gaming time.
The story mode is great. I wish it were a bit more sandbox though.
Still, more characters, more stages and better music can't hurt.
Overall, yes I will be buying BDZTB3.

Played it, loved it, unlocked/collected everything. I'm not a big DBZ fan and I'm also opposed to all 3d fighting games. But this game is just wicked fun and wicked intense. I also feel they did a lot of things to make it feel like it should be in 3d, instead of a 3d game that should be 2d but just has 3d added to make it look better. I'll probably buy this new one and give tenkaichi 2 to a friend.

For the love of God, let it die already....

I've held of on buying Tenkaichi 2 just so I could buy the third one! I heard how great DBZBT2 was, knew they would make a third one, and decided that it would be 100 times better, so I would wait. Even if all their adding is new characters and day/night changes (I've always wanted to fight as King Vegeta or King Cold...don't ask why...), it will still be the coolest game ever made. Plus it would be cool to be fighting Vegeta, have it turn to night, and see him turn into a huge ape!
