Seattle Mariners DS: exactly what the US market needs

There are only 2000 of these special edition Lites, and this is everywhere on the 'net today, so we expect a few fans may end up trolling eBay with tears in their eyes in a few weeks. It's too bad Nintendo doesn't own a sizable interest in the St. Louis Cardinals -- then we'd finally be able to convince a certain mother unit that the DS is even more awesome than the Wii!

The mother unit can see the Wii without the nasty where the bleep did I set those darn glasses. I would love the DS if I could see it.

dam thats nice! i even live in seattle but i already have a ds lite and im not into white lites. still, thats very thoughtful of nintendo of america. a going away present before moving onto cali/nyc...

I would love if it MLB did agree to have the team logos and sold them on each team's website or at the stadiums (such as the place formerly known as the Skydome).

WOW...I don't know what else to say! I NEED THAT! Instead of Griffey Jr. for me, I'd love Ichiro's number on it, and I've been wondering why they don't have many baseball games on the DS or even one for the Wii (besides Wii Sports Baseball). Miyamoto likes baseball and Nintendo owns a baseball team! In due time I guess.

Nintendo owns the Majority of The Mariners so it makes sense that they would do this. Also I am from Seattle and the Mariners suck so IDK if anyone would really want to pick this up.
