VC Monday Madness: video wrap-up 5/14/07

With this week's offerings being chock full of the pirate's most despised enemy, those with a love of action games are getting their fill. And we're here with our weekly VC Monday Madness coverage to clean up the bloody mess! As always, you've got two distinct flavors in which you can choose to drink this coverage in: video above, or screens and text past the break.

Choose wisely, for one of those cups is filled with deadly Iocane powder ...

Ninja Gaiden (1 player, NES, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Don't let our incredibly bad Ninja Gaiden skills in the above video fool you, this game is anything but clumsy. No, the story of Hayabusa is one that needs to be told and fun to play. And for only $5 bucks, we suggest you get yourself knee-deep in some side-scrolling ninja action.

Pac-Man (1-2 players, NES, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download

If you have never seen or played Pac-Man, then climb back under that rock of yours and never come back out. Sadly, the NES port of the arcade classic doesn't quite validate itself on the Virtual Console. There are countless websites you could just get your fix at for free. We suggest you go that route.

Ninja Spirit (1-2 players, Turbografx16, 600 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Oh, Ninja Spirit, how we love you. You're fun, full of tension and you feature ninjas. Who doesn't like ninjas?! And, as you may have seen in our video above, it's easily the best game on offer this week. Oh, how we love that grappling hook-like weapon (looks like a scythe on a rope, to us)!

As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii.
