Grab your Diskarmor: Rygar's back

The guys at Tecmo are bringing Rygar back to our screens. Last seen on the PS2, the Rygar games are set in mythical worlds, filled with Gods, Titans and that sort of thing.
The game's motto is 'New Hero, New Enemies, Swing Action.' The new hero can be seen in the concept art above, wielding the Diskarmor, the signature weapon from the games. It might look like a shield, but it's attached to a chain and can be used as a grappling hook, or a kick-ass weapon. The Wiimote is likely to take aiming and flinging duties. No news yet on release dates, but we'll give you more news as we get it.

Yeah, I hope the final version of the protagonist looks quite a lot less fruity. Also, I hope this turns out better than the PS2 game -- I borrowed it from my brother for almost a year, and could only bring myself to spend about 2 hours on it. Can't put my finger on what went wrong, but it just wasn't... compelling? I dunno, after a short while there wasn't anything that made me want to pick the controller back up. Maybe I'll give this one a rent, if the reviews come back OK.

Chains...is this like God of War?? I mean the gameplay, this probably isn't blood and guts spilling everywhere
