Namco Bandai releases new screens for Space Station Tycoon

The good folks at Namco Bandai sent us a press release today, chock full of fresh new screens for the upcoming Wii title Space Station Tycoon. Developed by the folks behind the Xbox Live Arcade title Outpost Kaloki X, the game's announcement certainly piqued our interest and these latest screens, which are available past the break, only increase our desire to play this game.

Gonna stink, undoubtably.
3rd parties need to start putting some freaking effort into Wii games. Despite the fact that the Wii is less powerful than the 360 or the PS3, it can still produce better visuals than the Xbox, Gamecube, or PS2 ever could... but we're not seeing that, because instead of actually putting effort into games, third parties are instead trying to produce games as fast as possible and market them to a popular system. Not only that, but we're being bogged down with the same old 'mini-game' or 'child game' bullshit that the third parties 'think' will make us happy.
Give us some more good games, we'll stop complaing. Until then, I'm gonna go play some Excite Truck.

#1 there trying to dish out games fast because developers thought the Wii was gunna fail horribly so they were making games for 360/ps3, now it is doing amazing and they wanna get in on it(thats why there is a lot of ports and minigames)
give it another year and there will be so many amazing games

Wow. Where's all that negativity coming from? I for one am pretty excited about this. It's basically a sequel/expansion to Outpost Kaloki X from XBLA. I played the demo and was gonna buy it when they announced this. Provided that it's launched as a "budget" title (similar to RE4 Wii, which is supposed to be $30 instead of the more traditional $50), I'll probably pick it up. Kaloki is a pretty fun (if a bit simplistic) SimSomething game, and I think it could hold interest for a while if they add more depth. I'd be really surprised if it's not at least worth a rental.

They can afford to bing this undeniable flop to the wii and announce Katamari for cellphones but still not for the Wii? >:(

There has to be only one reason for not bringing Katamari to the Wii..... they must be planning to launch a next gen Katamari 2 exclusively for the Wii!!!

I think this could be interesting. I don't know why people think it's going to fail based on a few screen shots...
These kinds of games have done rather well on the PC; I don't know why this one is being met with such negativity. Maybe kids today only can handle FPS games and them thinkin' games r omgz too hard wtf lolzorz!!
Now that a console has a pointer interface, it will be interesting to see what other kinds of traditionally PC-Only games will migrate over.
