Help Miyamoto get a nod from Time Magazine

Time magazine's website is running a feature right now where candidates are up for being included in the Time 100. What is the Time 100? Well, it's a who's-who list of influential and powerful people, a list that certainly demands to have one of, if not the most, influential game designers in the industry, Shigeru Miyamoto.
Lucky for him, you can have a say in who makes the list. All you have to do is follow the read link and give Mr. Miyamoto a rating. As of right now, he's got an average rating of 79, but we're sure that will come up. So, head on over and let your voice be heard.

He's up to a 92 last I checked. Keep voting, people!

The question is kind of confusing. Are we voting on where they should be on the list or the amount of influence?

Who the hell is the "rain" guy who is up top.He cant be that popular.
Miyamoto is currently the 11th Most influential person.

I saw a 94 when I checked... given that nintendowiifanboy.com has a direct link to the page, of course his rating is going to go up, and a biased rating at that (He's a great man, but only us Nintendo fans can see that)...
As for the info on the site, it seems like they pinned him down as the one behind Wii hardware development... He's a game producer for crying out loud. I'm sure he had some influence on how the Wii was designed, but there must have been many factors that gave the Wii less-than-Xbox 360 horsepower.

The fact of the matter is, his average rating doesn't really matter. The way the point system works is it's a total sum of the votes. So if you vote 67, 67 points gets added to his score. And the person with the highest score wins.
Considering the poll is about "how influencial" the person is. If the combination of websites that would promote him can't muster enough voting power to move him far up the list... obviously he wasn't that influencial. So I think asking for people to vote 100 for him on this site is well within the scope of this poll.

At least this isn't as bad as American Idol's voting. Miyamoto is also now #6 and Rain has fallen to #5.
wenis @ Apr 23rd 2007 4:34PM
He is rank 5 now with a 93
Daviner007 @ Apr 23rd 2007 4:27PM
he's up to number 5 now.

They list them all by average score. The total votes is the tiebreaker. So just vote 100 for Miyamoto and 1 for Bhumibol. HE CAN TAKE THIS!

He may have a hard time getting past Colbert, but I can not understand how in the world the King of Thailand is leading this; I thought this was more of a popularity contest and he is winning? Unreal, but I have kept on voting and he is up to 3 on the polls behind the King of Thailand and Stephen Colbert.
Here is also a thought on getting him to the top. When you vote for him also vote for the other ones except downgrade them, that way there ratings will drop and Miyamoto's will rise. Just a thought.
Rakuen @ Apr 23rd 2007 6:13PM
He will not pass Colbert. Odds are there's going to be a big campaign made to get him tens of thousands of votes for 100s. And given the overall influence of this network, the best we can hope for is top-10.
Andrea @ Apr 24th 2007 10:09AM
Yes, vote 100 to him and 1 to the other contenders.

The whole list is screwed, some people don't deserve to be in it at all
