Sega confirms four more for NA Virtual Console
Sega has confirmed four more Genesis classics en route to the Virtual Console in the next ... well ... they'll be here eventually, anyway. The titles? Wellll ....- Toe Jam & Earl 2: Panic on Funkotron
- Shining in the Darkness
- Kid Chameleon
- Streets of Rage 2
Titles will cost the standard 800 points for Genesis games, of course. As our sister site Joystiq points out, the only two titles to break standard pricing were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES, 600 points) and R-Type (TG-16, 800 points). May that list stay ever short!

NHLPA Hockey, dudes. I am the furthest thing from a sports game fan, but that game really, really ruled.

They still have the rest of the Sonic the Hedgehog series left. By the time they're done with that, Nintendo would start supporting the Master System.
Sega's got plenty of stuff left. I wish Nintendo would follow suit.

I just shit myself! SHINING IN THE DARKNESS!! ZOMG! I freaking love the game. Glad I didn't start it again like I was going to.
Streets of Rage2 AND ToeJam and Earl?! Man, SEGA ftw!

It's not hard to see what games they plan to bring to VC. They're all games that they've already brought to GameTap.
Come to mention it, why pay the money for each game when you can pay like $10 or whatever and subscribe to GameTap instead? (I used to subscribe until I got a Mac). Pretty neat service if you're into old games.

I was all Megadrive (genesis) back in the days. Mostly because of its crazy shoot'em'ups! The Thunderforce series, Elemental Master, the Aleste series and a couple of others were really challenging!
Streets of Rage 2 is a real top one. Perhaps the best in the series.
Shining in the Darkness is really charming. Great soundtrack and an overall great feel to it. But let's face it.. isn't the Phantasy Star series the one we're all waiting for? At least PS 1, 2 and 4.
And hey, the Wonderboy in Monstrerland series... and... and and... etc. ;)
