Student creates robot controlled by Wiimote

We can picture it now. A bleak, cloudless sky that shelters the approaching robotic horde, set to lay waste to our last living city. All controlled by one madman, who's only wish is to eradicate humankind holds in him a fiery rage and his hand one sleek Wiimote. Raising it high to the heavens, his scream is strong enough to further crush the rubble at his feet as he syncs the Wiimote to his army. As he is ready to go, he is forced to wait the 2-3 seconds it takes for the Wiimote to sync up with the robots.

Well, maybe the Wiimote fantasies we concoct on our break asleep at the keyboard aren't exactly the best, but we still fear ambitious projects such as that of these college folk who, for their Electromechanical design class at the University of Michigan's Mechanical Engineering department, designed the Wiimote-controlled robotic arm. We've presented the video of this integration between the two in motion embedded into the post past the break.
